Today, on my way to work, I saw something by the river that looked like some kind of creature. My initial thought was "What is that? Some kind of beaver, or something." But back in my head I knew that it naturally was not a beaver, so right then I thought it was a cat. Then all of a sudden, to my surprise, the cat walked down in the river and started to slowly swim away. It was at that moment I realised that the cat in fact were a beaver. Now the beaver was about five metres, or sixteen point four feet if you will, away from me. I was petrified in a state of chock since this was the closest, and clearest, view of a beaver I have ever had before. After a few seconds of staring at the beaver I thought that I really should take some video footage of it, or at least a photograph. I followed the beaver slowly along the river a couple of steps, but right when I put my hand in my pocket to pick up my phone, the beaver noticed me. The beaver immediately noticed me, did the "beaver splash " and quickly dove under the water surface. I said, in a chuckling manner, "Heh, yeah, okay", and then I continued on my way to work.
