We recognized this trend years ago from our work on analyzing the web giants infrastructure. Now even the most conservative networking industry analysts are recognizing open networking and giving vendors like +Dell credit for it.

It's easy to confuse HC (heterogeneous computing) with HMP (heterogeneous CPU multi-processing) in the smartphone space. Don't you be "that guy". :-) ARM, MediaTek,Samsung, Qualcomm, Imagination, LG, TI, Sony, Huawei already agree on the definition of HC http://www.hsafoundation.com/
