After two years with two iRobot Roombas, I could only recommend it with many caveats. Like having carpet, furniture, pets to start. I'm wondering if Dyson brings anything new to the table. They've been gestating their robot vac for years.
I've had the same thought, We have a 500, 700, and 800 series roomba. It works great in certain conditions but I have seen other companies leap further. However we've also owned a dyson handheld and it lasted six months before the motor died, the battery shortly followed I assume from the strain of the dying motor. Dyson replaced the motor but refused to replace the battery. Hope their robot vac will have better batteries / warranty.
