Forest scenery with panoramic view
It is a beautiful day in springtime, the sun is shining brightly, and after an all too rainy winter many people feel quite confused with that bright ball in the sky. The trees have a pragmatic approach to the situation, they gather to form a forest, just like their ancestors did before.

The saint in the small village chapel
Life is not easy when you are a saint. At least when you have passed the flesh and bone state and reached the monument state. You stand bravely day and night, and most people ignore you as best as they can. But here in this place you thank the almighty for the absence of pigeons.

Posing tree on a hill in summertime
Trees are crazy folks, sometimes. I'm not talking about those herd chaps which gather in forests. I'm talking about those which prefer to stand alone in the middle of nowhere. They spend hours and years with posing. They must be quite glad for each lost hiker who unintentionally crosses the place.

The village church of Obermühl
This modern church is a filial church to the main village church of Kirchberg. Little is publicly known about its history. However, the builders were wise enough to choose a golden facade, since this place often sees a lot of sun coming from the right direction.

You are right +monia i, you would expect that in a city. But sometimes (scarcely) it happens in the rural regions that people think Hey folks, we have forgotten to build a church the last centuries. Time to do that now ;)

Fields, flowers and a hiking trail
One peaceful summer morning, and a lonesome hiking trip is coming to its end. Up on the hill the small village waits for the hiker to arrive, it has nothing better to do. Flowers do what they do best in summer, they grow.

A village sees red
Always the same, every year. The first really hot and sunny day, and everybody has forgotten how to use sunscreen. And the usual complaining at the end of the day about sunburn and redness. People and villages never learn, never.

Countryside road with two options
You always have a choice in life. Like here for example to travel further along the country road, or leave it, down to some cute family homes with gardens, trees, lots of stuff and many other things that have been built to make that scenery not so god damned empty.

Old abandoned snow removing vehicle
When you are out for hiking in the summertime, there are a few things you don’t expect at very remote places in the middle of nowhere. Unicorns for example, or this beautiful old abandoned snow removing vehicle, posing in the sun nearby a well covered similarily old farmhouse.

Hiking trail through springtime nature
Spring season has conquered the scenery, and nature is slowly waking up after a long and pretty dreadful winter. Everything in nature is green, really absolutely everything, nature is very serious with seasonal color fashions here. Fortunately doctor gimp has a cure for that.

The firestation of Sonnberg
Yes, it is that blue. But there is nothing wrong with blueness, some of my best friends are blue. This pretty firestation is not only the home of the local firefighters, but also the local municipal office. And located absolutely in the middle of nowhere.

Small farm with built-in panoramic view
There is something special about this region. For example no all-flat hiking trail exists, you always have to go up and down. On the other hand it is absolutely impossible to build a family home or a farm here without any spectacular view into an awesome scenery, containing nothing particularly interesting whatsoever.

Trees, a hidden farm and fields of summer
A hot summer afternoon, and the sun burns down to the fields as good as a sun can do this. The trees stand inmidst this scenery, and would love to move to a less hotter spot, but trees are known for being always a bit hesitant when it comes to make the next step.

Introduction
It started with a kiss. No, actually it started with hiking.
After university I've spent two decades as business consultant, coach, entrepreneur, web developer, database designer and IT professional. One of my private passions is hiking. And exploring lesser known territory in my home region.
Of course I always had a little camera with me. Once I decided to open up a small Google+ Account and present some images from my region there.

In the meantime far more than 19.000 people follow me on Google+. Friends encouraged me to evolve as photographer and make more out of it.

Bragging rights
Women, men and pictures have something in common in our time. You can spend big money on haircuts, makeup, designer clothes, stylists, plastic surgery and accessories to make a person look 'perfect', to the mainstream taste and current fashion. And at the same time utterly boring and interchangeable. Same with pictures. You can spend thousands of bucks for high level equipment, software, courses and tickets to the most exciting destinations. The images will be looking very 'professional'. And at the same time completely boring and interchangeable. Amongst humans we often love people because they are different. We estimate their little specialities. We don't want to be bored, most of us have boredom each day at the job. Therefore what you find here is not intended to be art, or 'professional' mainstream, it is just original content meant to be entertaining. I do not want to please elite photographer's religions, I want to please you. Because the audience is always right.
