Social entrepreneur, business strategist, engineer. Founded the Hoop Fund, Product Lead at eParachute
I am an entrepreneur, engineer, and product designer who focuses on high impact startups and products. My work has been covered by Fast Company, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, the Huffington Post and other publications, and my last venture, the Hoop Fund, was a winner of the 2011 Hub Ventures social enterprise accelerator.
Prior to the Hoop Fund, I was one of the original implementers and contributors to the Base of the Pyramid Protocol, a pioneering product and business innovation methodology, akin to a “lean startup” approach for the base of the world’s income pyramid. Working with companies such as SC Johnson, DuPont and Ascension Health, I have helped launch social enterprise startups in Kenya, India, Ghana and the U.S.
As a software engineer, I have developed innovative technology platforms for Rockwell International, Apple, and NASA, and I enjoy using both my business and technology backgrounds to create people- and planet-focused solutions.
