It's Friday morning so you are going to naturally see social media overloaded with a ton of motivational stuff. We do it. Everybody does it on social media. Heck the fan page of your local gas station probably does it because it is what is popular and it gives the fan temporary shot of happiness.
But also remember that that shot is very temporary. When you see something on social media that lifts you up, you probably won't remember it 30m after it disappears from your eyes. Why? Motivation is temporary. It is fleeting. And while you and I love to see it, true long-lasting success never comes from a motivational poster.
True long-term success comes from your habits. It comes from you getting up a little earlier and doing all of the small things that will create a bigger life for you.
What you eat, what you read, what you drink, what you study, who your friends are, where your focus is, etc. THOSE are greater than any motivational posters. Get those right and in your life on a daily basis and the rest falls in to place. Eventually you'll learn you don't need a motivational saying to do the right thing. It will already be part of your habits. Greatness will be a core skill that you know how to accomplish naturally. Whether it is a mental, psychological, physical or financial goal, you will naturally be working on it every day because it is a habit for you.
Get right with your discipline and your habits. And the rest will fall into place.

There are two books I've read recently that have just completely amazed me. The internet is ripe with lists like "The top 20 books every CEO/Entrepreneur needs to read" . You look over the list, maybe bookmark, and then maybe maybe eventually buy one of them. Then you repeat the pattern 6 months later. I'm pretty happy with my backlog and I have certain ones I always go back to (i.e. How To Win Friends and Influence People). But these two are ones that I like so much that I want to buy extra copies just to give out. For the NSA DC Marketing session for this group that is exactly what I might do. Have some kind of sign up and giveaway and the prizes will be one of these two books.
They are :
80/20 is Sales and Marketing by Perry Marshall. The book will show how to focus on the things that make you productive and make you money. Most of our lives (80%) is noise. It's gibberish. It's FUD that distracts us and deceives us. The same is true in our business lives. I have this audiobook and physical book and reread or relisten to different chapters every week. Perry Marshall is now on my bucket list to meet.
DotCom Secrets by Russell Brunson. This book clearly explains the concept of building funnels, ladders, and higher-priced service offerings. There is a lot of overlap of concepts with the first book - which is great. And then he goes on to show you how to do it with the tool he created Clickfunnels. Is the book one big giant marketing ploy to get you to buy the product? Possibly. I was using the product before I bought the book. I don't care if the book is marketing for tool. Get both and use them. And then come back here and thank me in 6 months.
This short post is probably not doing these books justice. So I see a video in the near future going into more details. (I'm bad with keyboards buy I love the lens)

I tried a double blind test and it didn't make any difference at all in engagement between FB and YouTube. I personally think FB is promoting the native video behind the scenes to show some inflated results. And the autoplay counting as a view and therefore engagement is nonsense. The biggest thing to me as a creator is the lack of controls and options in the upload interface. There's no comparison at all with the tools available on YouTube, regardless of the native vs universal search implications.

Introduction

"Without a doubt one of the most driven individuals I have ever met. With a great desire to achieve nothing but the best results, Patrick always puts forth his best efforts. — Justin Kopepasah, Robyn"

If I had 30 seconds to tell you what I do it would be this: I teach people how to understand complicated online marketing concepts. I take the complex and make it simple. I show you how you can use the various corners of the internet to share information about your business to those people who what to hear it. I've been doing this for 13 years and I'm pretty good at it.

Now for the long version:

Patrick Allmond, an in-demand social media leader, speaker and frequent consultant for Fox 25 TV and KSBI TV, has been running his business Focus for over 13 years (check out http://allaboutfocus.com) . He is a recognized leader in the online marketing industry that is called upon to show businesses how to make the best use of social media and online marketing. The vast majority of social media and technology speakers talk in abstract theories that sound great, but leave you even more clueless that before you heard them talk. Patrick is not "that guy". He rolls up his sleeves and shows you exactly what you need to be doing in your business and in your life to grow and prosper. Forget "Old Media" and "new media". What you learn from Patrick will apply across the ages, and allow you to grow "Your Media" and a raving fan base that will live your products and services.

Every day Patrick is intently focused on helping companies find the right solution - technological or otherwise to their business challenges. He loves to share his insights as far as how best to use all of these wonderful tools that we have been given . He is also a huge advocate of networking and connecting the needs of people his knows with those that can fill those needs. Fewer things bring him more joy that helping people become successful by finding the right person to fulfill their needs. The recent growth of social media has produced amazing tools, and Patrick speaks and teaches businesses how to get the most bang for their time. There is a lot of noise out there with these new buzz words "Social Media" and "Social Networking". His goal is to get you through that noise into being productive ASAP.

If you would like to have Patrick present at your next event or panel then contact him today at http://allaboutfocus.com/hire-patrick-allmond-speak-event/
