Not sure why the Rose was not rated 5 stars by everyone. There is nothing not to like about this place. From the sound, seats and screens it makes going out to the movies a real pleasure. One of my very favorite features is the director's notes, this is a real person intro to some of the behind thoughts of the director, and it is done just before they role the film. It take 3 minutes or so but really makes the experience unique. Another thing I love is the popcorn. The Rose popcorn is the real thing and it is the best ever. They have various flavor salts you can add to....to customize it just for you. I have not gone to the Starlight room and experience the newest screening room at the Rose but heard great things about it and can't wait to try it out. If you are in Port Townsend or near it, spend an evening at the Rose, it will spoil going to the movies anywhere else. I know this to be true as I live 45 minutes away with several movie houses much closer but will not go there because a night at the movies should be special and that is why I choose the Rose theatre.

We took our golden retriever to Country Car Vet because a friend recommended them. Sadie needed surgery for a tumor she had on her mammary glands. Not only did they do a wonderful surgery, they trimmed her nails for free and cleaned her teeth at a very reasonable price while she was sedated. Vet care was getting really expensive and it seems our old vet ran tons of test without explaining them to us. Our golden is a real love but she is 12 years old so no matter what the test might have said we were not going to put her through radiation etc. This vet explained our options and we told them no lab test because of her age. If she needs more surgery or care down the road, this is definitely the vet we will bring her too. Thank you!

I had Peninsula Properties remodel my famiy's beach house. Richard was easy to work with, listened to us and was understanding of our budget. He took an early 80's home and totally brought it up-to-date. He allowed my husband and brother-in-law to do some of the work when he felt confident they could. Savings here, helped us to save some funds for better finishes like our fabulous cherry kitchen cabinets with matching bookcases on each side of the fireplace. Our remodel is spectacular and we can still afford to live there. The best thing about working with Richard is he is so honest and easy going. He is building your home not his and he get that!

The Three Crabs Restaurant has permanently closed. Watched it slowly die over the course of 20 years.

I stayed at the Beech Tree and found it to be a very comfortable. Great location close to everything and convenient for transit. The room was clean and and spacious. I was not looking forward to the breakfast buffet but I loved it! So many choices and all hand crafted right down to the homemade butter. There was always snacks available such as cookies, tea and coffee too! Took many photos. I was on business. The real test for me is would I stay there again next time I am in Boston and my answer is definitely yes.

I had lunch at Adrian's today and enjoyed their special open face steak sandwich. It was beautiful to look at and really wonderful. I expected the steak to be on the bread but it was served with restaurant made, handcrafted garlic bread and a salad. Great value, steak was perfect as was the rest of the mea.

What a gem! I stayed at the end of the season in October. The owners are very nice and friendly but not intrusive. My room had beautiful stain glass windows and could not have been more comfortable. The food was awesome too! I totally recommend this place and only wish I had been there during the Shakespeare festival. Maybe next year! But will be back sometime for sure!
