The rooms are small and cozy. The location is not ideal, but the homeless population out on Hastings are not dangerous but just an eye sore. There's a pub downstairs and they give it discounts for overnight guests. It's really convenient to the bus stop as it's right outside. Chinatown is a block away on Pender.

Don't come here and i'll never come here ever again. The wifi in the room does not work. They have wifi but the wifi can't reach in the room.

The staff on the front desk are very kind and helpful. I would give them 5 stars just because of their service. The hotel is in a rough area but is totally safe during the day at least. I can't comment on the night time as we left after being checked in for 6 hours. My gf has athsma and the smell of the hotel was bothering her. I didn't want to spend our vacation with her in the hospital so we had to find somewhere else. The guy at the front desk was very helpful and understanding. Every one we met on Staff was pleasant to deal with. Plus the food at the pub connected to the hotel was fantastic.

Good Hotel, with breakfast included (very acceptable), clean room, clean bathroom, free wi-fi, brewery on the ground floor with events on weekends. During my stay of 4 nights , there were 8 different people in reception , only one was unkind and some rude, all others were very friendly. Very important fact , if you walk from the gastown to the hotel , on the street "Hasting" from the street Carrall to the street Dunlevy is too full of homeless and junkies at night. They do not cause trouble neither are aggressive , just give bad image. I recommend using the bus , there are 2 stops near the hotel one on Hasting and one on Cordova street behind the hotel.

The hotel is old, but interesting. The staff is great and the restaurant was way better than expected... the "but" is that it is NOT in a real safe area. We didn't have any problems, but we're warned not to leave anything in the car that could be seen. The hotel has a great history and for the age, is in good shape.

You get what you paid. I would say it's the best option for the money. Still walking distance to anywhere. A bit scary neighborhood. Modest but clean rooms. Friendly staff and free internet access:)

The rate was very reasonable compared to other options in the city last minute. Our room was very hot on a summer night making it hard to get comfortable. Overall it was fine for a place to sleep.

The rooms are small and cute. Our TV didn't work and we didn't get a "do not disturb" tag so we were woke up by maids. Bed spreads didn't look like they were washed in a while. Parking is expensive. No where to put leftover food but plenty of people around to give it to eat. Staff were mostly nice and helpful.
