I visit Fremont at least four times a year, and stayed here for many of those stays in the past. After a number of recent stays at a pricier motel chain a couple of exits farther south, I'm coming back. This place is more conveniently located for my purposes, their continental breakfast has some unusual options (designed for the Japanese traveling businessman, I expect) and the staff are wonderful. I look forward to staying there for the Thanksgiving weekend. (And there is an Olive Garden nearby in case I want a quick fix of pasta, a Denny's a block or so away, and some really interesting Indian places in the minimall across the street.)

They have Wagyu beef & lamb, and the spicy miso broth is the best ever.

The portions are hearty, the food is exceptional American comfort food. I'm not a big mashed potato fan, but I really enjoy theirs. And their chefs understand when I tell them I want my steak cooked blue. They also have some of the friendliest wait staff ever, and we always get a greeting from the manager.

OMG! I can't believe I've waited this long to try their food. Theirs is the only potato salad I've ever had that is as good as my mom's. The brisket is fork-tender and juicy, the spareribs are succulent, and they have REAL TEXAS BEERS. Can't wait to try their chicken and beef ribs. Only criticism: so-so mac & cheese.

I've known about this place since moving into the area in '75, but it wasn't until I saw it on Triple D that I went in. Better than advertized! The Squeezeburger is outstanding, the fries cooked just the way I like them, and they brew real iced tea!
