Was shocked to wake up this morning to the news that Prince had made his transition. He was one of my all time favorite artists. I decided to do a crochet photo pattern of a creative commons image of him I found on Flickr (properly attributed). And yes, you can crochet it in shades of purple (see the color chart at the end of the pattern) ... http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/crocheting/other/prince/202834

A very cute and quick-to-crochet top. A couple of questions, Mike:

1) On the strap row, after you do your last section of 3 sc in the ch-4 sp before the strap, you ch 2 and then dc in the next ch-4 space. When it's time to do the second ch 2, shouldn't you go in the next ch-4 sp and do your 3 sc instead of doing an sc in the next dc? The former way makes the beginning and end of the strap symmetrical.

2) At the very end of the strap row, you just did 3 sc in the ch-4 sp. Shouldn't you do 4 sc in that space to match the beginning of the row where you sc in the dc and then 3 sc in the first ch-4 space, again to make the beginning end of the row symmetrical? Thanks in advance.

Yes, I am still blogging. Took a break; now I'm ready and raring to go!
It's definitely a Mercury Retrograde start to the new year for me. But there's lots of new things I've got planned for my blog in 2016.

Oh, I'm so happy to be a source of inspiration for you, Teri and hope to be posting more crochet art this year, probably more from my customers than me. But I hope to get some pieces done too.

Very nice! I love "recipes" where you can create many unique pieces from a simple design. One question. When taking body measurements, are you measuring from arm to arm or elbow to elbow with the arms extended straight out to the sides to form a straight line, or with them bent the way they are pictured in your schematic?

What a beautiful, lacy #crochet  dress!! I'd wear it if I could size it up to adult size.
