One of my favorite book covers, just because it's so different from all the rest. It's my LinkedIn book translated into Spanish by Anaya Multimedia in Madrid. #LinkedIn

Growing up as a geeky girl, I would have loved some of these.

Good post from +HootSuite highlighting two of the best recent Google+ enhancements: author attribution and embedded posts.

What do you think of the new look for Google+ cover photos?

Quick update to the Google+ Cover Photo

Now when someone visits your Google+ profile or page on the desktop, they’ll see your entire cover photo across the top (vs. just a small section). And importantly: there’s still lots of room for your content underneath.

Cover photos remain 16x9 (up to 2120px by 1192px), so no action is required to enjoy the new experience. The update is rolling out today, so give it a look, and let us know what you think.

P.S: The image behind your profile name is actually a “blurred” version of your cover photo. Check out the examples attached, then explore the possibilities!

Interesting to see how the audience demographics for social media keep changing. Totally different from when I first got involved in social media 7 to 8 years ago.

Interesting findings on how tween girls use social media. Not surprisingly, 81% of kids between ages of 12 and 17 use social media. Moreover...

- The most popular social networking site for tweens? YouTube, used by 45% of girls age 6 to 12 in one survey.
- 38% of kids between 8 and 12 use Facebook. 35% think of it as a site for parents, not kids.
- 44% of girls surveyed between the ages of 8 and 12 use Instagram, and 23% say it’s their favorite app.

Useful for those of us keen to reach this emerging market.

Google just wished me a happy birthday on its home page. Not sure if I should be amused or terrified :-) I don't remember this level of "personalization" in years past.
