I've always been impatient when cooking rice, thus my rice was always sticky and clumpy no matter how much I washed it. Today I tried a technique from which resulted in perfect basmati rice (and when I say perfect, I mean each grain is soft, fluffy and independent of every other grain that touches it).
I followed that up by making it into a vegetable fried rice, and served it with some shredded roast chicken from Safeway (I was feeling lazy, but some pan-fried chicken breast strips would have been sooo much better here) and some leftover spiced herb yogurt sauce from the lamb seekh kebab I cooked yesterday.
Outstanding results. I mean, 5-star restaurant quality results. And all it took was patience <smh>
