Hands-on The Western world's smartphone market has devolved into a duopoly of Apple's iOS and Google's Android. In the rest of the world, however, the mobile story has yet to be written... and this is where Mozilla hopes users will embrace its mobile operating system, Firefox OS.

Pat, you express yourself well. Its nice to have that skill as a programmer as that will allow you to argue for higher salaries, clarify your decisions to management, and help clients fill in the blanks in web pages.

Ive been a web dev for 14 years so welcome to the herd! Remember one thing....simpler is better in the web software engineering world. Just because it seems "cool" doesnt mean its better :)

Wow. Wow. Wow.

Must watch.

This juxtaposition puts a very sharp point on an overlooked distinction: some forms of media we engage with because there's a significant utility, and sometimes, we're merely e...

BrainPickings.org is quickly becoming one of my favorite sites on the web, and this article is a wonderful example of the type of quality content you can expect to find on a consistent basis.

If you only listen to one of these commencement speeches, I suggest you make it David Foster Wallace's. One of the most lucid and sobering talks I have ever encountered.
