Pars Rug Gallery would like to take this opportunity to welcome Robert Fisher as a new member of our team at Pars Rug Gallery.
Based in Romsey, Robert Fisher is available for consultations in both the gallery and the warehouse and is also happy to meet with clients in their homes.
Robert has a long career in furnishing. His first ten years were spent in the antique trade, working for a family business in Henley-on-Thames. Here he learned about the history of English cabinet making and how to identify and restore fine pieces of furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries. He particularly enjoyed buying and selling early English oak and Georgian mahogany.
From this foundation, Robert became manager of Brights of Nettlebed in the prosperous town of Wimborne Minster. While specializing in hand-made and custom-made replica furniture, he broadened his expertise in furnishing to include upholstery, lighting, oil paintings and other accessories. It was during this time that he first met Arash Karimzadeh, and began selling European and Oriental rugs alongside the furniture.
When the opportunity arose, it was a natural move to work directly with the team at Pars Rug Gallery. Today Robert continues to be enthusiastic about selling rugs and arranging rug restoration.
