Photos of the Week: 5/16-5/22
This week we have photos of an 80-foot-high tire in Michigan, dozens of Siberian students smashed into a car, two volcanic eruptions, yet another nail house in China, synchronized swimmers in a pond at the Chelsea Flower Show, a view from the top of the 104-story One World Trade Center, cows on the beach along the Mediterranean, a solar halo above Mexico, and much more.

Ever notice how the food you buy from McDonald’s tends to look a bit well, underwhelming, compared to the giant-sized photographs of their burgers they use on their menus? If so, rest assured you’re curiosity doesn’t stand alone. A Canadian woman recently emailed the fast-food giants to ask them the exact same question. McDonald’s graciously responded with [...]

Good afternoon,

I am reaching out to other reclaimed/salvaged material suppliers and resellers to see whether there may be interest in purchasing all or part of our bowling lane material inventory.  In May 2013 we, (ReVive Industries) along with the help of 56 volunteers deconstructed 20 of the 40 bowling lanes and approach material, (heart pine and hard maple, respectively) as well as many other architectural and vintage fixtures and memorabilia at Cedar Lanes Bowling Alley in Fresno, Ca.  This amounted to over 40 tons of material recovered through 500+ volunteer hours.  We have now sold and used approximately 2/3 of the material we recovered.  Our customers have built shuffleboard tables, coffee and dining tables, kitchen countertops and many other incredible pieces from the material.  We ourselves have built counter/work tops for a local recording studio, a custom vanity for a golf course home, and even kids' toys from cut-offs from several of our own projects.  Another local business has generously allowed us to store all of our lane material in their warehouse for more than a year now and is vacating the warehouse as they complete their relocation.  They have offered to store the materials at their new location as well, but the only space available is outdoors.  We fear the unavoidable degradation of the materials by exposure to the elements and the possibility of theft or vandalism.  It is with these concerns in mind, as well as our desire to be the best stewards possible of this material, that we are reaching out to other like-minded businesses and organizations with the invitation to consider adding any amount of the material to your own inventory to make available to your own existing and potential clients.  To date, we have also shipped slabs to two furniture businesses in Arizona, an engineer and designer in San Diego, Ca and our furthest client in Washington D.C.  We have been told by these customers that we are the only business they have found on the west coast that has reclaimed bowling alley material available, while it is much more readily available on the east coast.

We would be very happy to answer any questions you may have or provide additional images as you consider the opportunity to add them to your material resources.  Please find the attached photos and current inventory list which includes specific retail pricing.  This is the same list we have used for our Craigslist posting which has helped answer most people's questions regarding dimensions and pricing before they ever call to make purchase arrangements.  We sell wholesale to qualified resellers.

I can be reached at;

Thank you to all,
Tim Schulz

"Google Walnut"

Google Walnut. I tried the cardboard, but I'm better with wood. Using it to showcase photo spheres of 3D rendered architectural spaces. Would really like to take advantage of the stereo view to get the full 3D effect. Anyone know how to create 3D photo spheres and display them?

It is a great pleasure to review about Parley Shot Commercial Photography owned by my Friend, Christian. He is truly an artist. He created the virtual tour for my Dental office. The quality of the job is excellent. I am quite pleased with the result. He is very meticulous and professional.

ParleyShot Commercial Photography recently created a 360 degree virtual tour of our office. It turned out great! Christian was a pleasure to work with. From start to finish, the project was seamless and took very little effort on our part. We would highly recommend him for any photography work you may need to have done. He is also very knowledgeable about Google and gave us some great suggestions to help us with our Google+ page. Thanks for a job well done!

We have had an opportunity to work with Christian as he did a phenomenal job of doing a 360 view inside our shop to use on our webpage for Aram's auto. He took the time to understand what I was looking for, he made suggestions that were brilliant and enhanced the delivery of the video. It was a pleasure working with Christian and we highly recommend him. Thank you Christian.

I have worked with Chris from Parley Shot for the last three years and I can't say enough about His passion for excellence! He has gone above and beyond the extra mile to accommodate Creative Tiles needs. You can tell when a company really cares about there customers, I truly I know I found a gym here. We had Chris set up our virtual tour and that alone has paid for itself 20 fold. If you need photos choose Parley Shot, You wont be disappointed!

Chris with ParleyShot Commercial Photography came out today and shot our business for the Google's Inside View part of Google Maps. Not only was Chris extremely personable, professional, and punctual. He was also very knowledgeable with the inner workings of Google. He gave us some great tips to help position our business at the top of Google's search engine. Thanks again, Chris!

These photos are beautiful. I don't have a brick and mortar business, but a client had Parley Shot capture his business for Google and it's wonderful. I would recommend Chris @ Parley Shot Commercial Photography to all of my clients and associates.
