The Science Camp at Park Shore Builds High-Tech Science Facility!
Park Shore Country Day Camp and School, a Dix Hills day camp for kids, built a high-tech Science Camp STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) facility to help children in the science day camp better understand the fundamentals of science.

Over the past few years, bullying has become so common that it can almost be considered to be a pandemic. 
It is a complicated and growing problem that needs to be addressed and identified early on by all people involved so that it does not gain strength and continue to grow.

Long Island Camp Innovates STEM Learning

On Friday, July 25, 2014, 10:00 to 11:30 am, The Science Academy at Park Shore will host the DaVinci Surgical Robot, which is currently utilized in human surgical procedures.  Dr. Benjamin Schwartz, of Island Gynecological Oncology, is the leading specialist and trainer in the use of the surgical robot, and he will lead the hands on experience with the campers, in conjunction with Jennifer Toppi of Intuitive Surgical, Inc.  Science Academy students will learn about minimally invasive surgery and have an opportunity to operate the DaVinci surgical robot.

“I don’t want to go to school”: What you should know about School Refusal

Other children may go on and on about how “annoying” and “burdensome” school seems.
