“Parkinson’s found me, rather than the other way around.” The beauty of basic research is that sometimes, when you’re not looking for it, you make a discovery that answers a critical question in an entirely new or different field. A team of researchers from the University of Toronto's Department of Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy are currently seeking caregiver survey participants.

As of 2016, physicians and nurse practitioners in Canada can provide assistance with dying to eligible individuals experiencing serious and irremediable medical conditions that cause intolerable suffering. The research team aims to get an impression of caregivers’ attitudes and perspectives on the reality of caregiving in this context. This may help to inform and guide development of best practice and additional resources and support given to family caregivers for individuals at the end-of-life.

Share your story and make your voice known. To view this and other research trial/survey opportunities, visit us at: bit.ly/2fJeD7h
