Stayed here on my honeymoon for two nights and have no complaints. My wife and I missed out first flight and arrived late. Upon arrival we were told our room had upgraded for free. Much needed good news after hours of airport stress! The rooms aren't the flashiest. Pretty basic. Not too modern. The bed is very comfy. The room is worth it due to the view!! I spent the little time I was in the room on the patio marveling at the beautiful beach immediately across the street. The staff is as attentive as they need to be but very nice, the hotel is on the same block as a lot restaurants and shops so if you don't mind, at most, a 0.7 mile walk you're in good shape! Tons of activities such as the zoo for families, diamond head hiking trail if you're active, and the hotel is attached to a Starbucks and bar as well for coffee and nightlife. If I had to list a con I'd say that the balconies are close so there's little privacy if your curtains are open. Other than that I enjoyed the stay!

First time in Hawaii shock. Used to larger rooms with more amenities for same or less money. Hotel is adequate but, nothing to remember. Open air in hallway creates awkward environment in room until a/c has a chance to stabilize. Took almost a day. Staff is friendly and someone is always easy to find.

Rooms are clean. However Oceanfront means walk out on ocean. However this one is accross from the Ocean and you still have a nice view. Accross street from the Zoo and within walking distance from great food. Expedia members dont get the breakfast tickets. So dont except those. Theres not a whole lot of drawer space to unpack clothes. Staff is friendly and informative.

Stayed on a Saturday night. Check in was a little bit after 3pm, it was a busy weekend with multiple events happening. But still, it shouldn't have been late because check out is at 12 noon, and it doesn't take 3 hours to clean a room. Speaking of the room, we got the Pool level one; so we had direct access to the pool. ROOM was small though! Jus enough to fit 2 double beds, one night stand, and a slim desk/entry table. BATHROOM was literally a square; a foot between the shower, toilet, and sink. The fridge wasn't that cold either, and we couldn't readjust because there was no option to. Water pressure was good tho, especially with the new modern fixtures. The room was more modern fixtures. POOL was smaller than the pics look. Could be colder too, the temp was a bit warm and it was hot that day! VALET parking was excellent, very short wait time dropping off and pickin up our car. CUSTOMER SERVICE is GREAT! Can't even complain about it really! The main reason we will be back! BUT we'll probably not rent the pool side rooms again unless it's for a single or 2 person. We only had 4 small to medium size people for this stay.

Very disappointed! Here for my wife's birthday and our 10th anniversary. This is our 1st time to Hawaii and was hoping to make it special. Our travel agent talked this place up. Said they had a special package for honeymooners/ anniversaries. They gave us a room the size of a closet! It's old and smells stale. This reminds me of a place where senoir citizens go to die! There is supposed to be somekind of welcome breakfast, but no one seems to know where it is, the concierge/activities clerk actually siad it was her competition anddd directed me to someone else! The service so far has been less than friendly. Definitely a bust!

Nice, but nothing super special. Location is good, across from a beach. They mixed up our reservation. Clean but boring rooms. Not a 4 star, despite what any site says.

The hotel is cute and right across from the zoo and the beach. Lots of ABC stores for snacks/beverages. Beds were not as comfortable. Pool was fun! Valet only option for car.
