We had a really great experience here! it was our last winery (we went to cakebread and peju) and by far my favorite. One of the reason is the atmosphere. It is definitely not your traditional tasting. We pay up front $25 and get 6 tastings plus a side plate with cheese. Once you pay, you go out back and find a spot in back. There are tons of comfy chairs and tables where we were able to relax and hang out during our tasting. We also brought our own crackers and cheese out to eat. After a few minutes, our tasting guide brought out our wines and explained each one of them. After he left, we were able to drink at our leisure. This is a place to go if you like Zinfandel blends. The Rose was pretty good as well as the Reflection. The 2006 paraduxx was pretty good as well. The cheapest bottle was about $23 and the go quickly up after that for about $60 for the 2006 paraduxx.

Great wine and outdoor lounge. Paraduxx captured a genuine California wine experience. Sitting outside enjoying the perfect weather, sipping amazing wine, snacking on cheese and crackers. Exploring Rector creek and the architecture of their buildings that absorb the natural light coming in. Paradox is my favorite winery in Napa.

One of my favorite wineries to visit. Their tasting room/ porch is a great place to enjoy friends, enjoy wine, and enjoy the scenery.

Pricey tasting experience, but well worth it. Beautiful and dog friendly outdoor setting.

Of the four wineries we visited during our trip to Napa, Paraduxx certainly provided the nicest facilities, with large areas for sitting both inside and out, it was an excellent place to sit back and relax with some nice wines and enjoy the company of others. Of course, this also comes at a cost - the most expensive of our trip, regardless of the $20 or $30 tastings. I thought the free cheese pairing that came with the wine was a nice idea, but the singular cracker per person was a little stingy, regardless of if it was intended as an accompaniment for the cheese or to be used as a palette cleanser.

We are experiencing some beautiful winter days in the Napa Valley right now. If you live someplace cold, this is the best time of year to visit us, go ahead and plan a trip!

The Zin is starting to bloom at Rector Creek Vineyard. We generally say it's 110 days from bloom to harvest for red grapes - so we could be picking by the end of August! #napaharvest #zinfandel
