This place is pretty nice. Great place to relax and decompress. Fairly quiet, but lots of activities to do or just relax by the pool if you choose to do so. They have a sweet boat + jet ski rental place on the premises. The rooms themselves are well kept and homey. I believe they did a renovation recently and it came out very well!

Daniel, thank you for the five-star review! We're glad that you enjoyed the relaxing environment, island activities, water sports and guest rooms. We look forward to welcoming you back to Paradise Point soon! Sincerely, Kelsey Prince Guest Services

Barefoot bar and grill. Just go. Good food. Friendly staff. Great views. In the summers they often have live bands.

Visited for my sisters wedding and stayed 4 nights in a Lanai Bayside room. The room was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated! A little heads-up that not all of the Bayside rooms are the same, as some feature a wall of windows on the bay side and others only have a door and small window (which means you don't really have an easy view of the bay). One thing I noticed was how quiet the room was. The rooms on either side of us were occupied and we never heard anything. The Island Market has all the necessities (toiletries, snacks, beer/wine/liquor) and other gift shop items. The beach around the island has fire pits all along it and a nice way to end an evening. The Island Market sells wood, but you can get the same thing for cheaper at nearby stores. My sister had her wedding on the resort at the Island Point Lawn, which is right by the marina, and it was a gorgeous setting! The wedding team did a great job and everything was perfect! We enjoyed breakfast each morning at the Barefoot Bar & Grill and visited for drinks and dinner too. Everyone I encountered throughout the resort was pleasant and friendly. If we're ever back in San Diego, we will definitely stay at Paradise Point again!

This resort was probably nice once. But it has aged horribly and maintenance has not kept up. The couch in our room had a stain on one cushion. The rest of the furniture was dingy and dated. The rooms are all two unit bungalows that take their exterior styling from the public restroom buildings you see in parks. When you're going for a tropical vibe, these don't fit at all. Overall, there are so many other hotels in this area that are nicer, better kept and a better place to spend your money. You don't need to stay here.

Beautiful and open resort. 44 acres of land, beautifully manicured grounds and 3 restaurants on site. Rooms are good and spacious. I would stay here again. One thing to note, you will have to drive or cab it to some of the towns like La Jolla, Coronado, etc. That is expected though and it doesn't take away from the relaxing experience. Great hotel/resort.

My sister's and I stayed here for our annual sister trip. It was beautiful! We are planning a sister's and hubbies trip this spring and will be staying here. Staff was on top of everything and so nice and they never seemed rushed. They took the time to talk to us and even gave us some reccomenations of places to see, visit and dine. Looking forward to our spring trip!!

We have always came here for thunderbolt races during the summer, But i recently booked my fiancé a room here for her bachelorette party. The room was very nice and love the island but all of the hidden costs are disturbing. When you pay for a room you should have access to the resort and parking but instead charge an extra hundred dollars. Payed 38 dollars to park here for less than 12 hours, which was a quarter of the cost of a room there. then also had to pay an additional 30 dollars for resort fee to have access to the resort. you would figure that would be included in your room rate. If all of this was stated up front i would have chose another place for her to stay. Was told we would be paying 216 for the room and left there paying over 320. Very disappointed in Paradise point and will most likely not stay here anymore or recommend it to any of our family our friends.

Not what I was hoping for, not what I paid for. $37/day fee to park your car on the premises....WHAT? $30/day 'resort fee' that includes use of a nearby pool with a hot tub that worked on 1 day of our 5 day stay + a landline! Room was dirty when we arrived, including * (I kid you not!) snot on the shower curtain, * half-inch thick dust along the wall, * mud on the wall, * hair on the wall of the shower Housekeeping was minimal, including * even calling and pointing out that they needed to remove the hair in the shower, it was not done, * sheets were never changed, unless all of their sheets have tire tracks on them - this was on the part of the sheet that shows at the bottom of the bed, so, no we didn't need to sleep on it, * only way we got the mirrors by the sink cleaned was to write "Clean me" with a bar of soap! Old, old furnishings including * refrigerator that froze over even on lowest setting, * coffee maker that quit mid-brew, * noisy, noisy wall heater, * fancy thermostat on the wall that was not connected to anything i.e. changing the temp on the thermostat did not activate the wall heater
