“There must be something in books, something we can’t imagine, to make a woman stay in a burning house; there must be something there. You don’t stay for nothing.”

Fahrenheit 451 (and some other Bradbury books), on the shelf today:

This book is a pretty cool historical curiosity, or it could save your life if you go back in time and suddenly need to be able to identify mid-1980s Soviet tanks and stuff:

Check out all the books by and about Patrick O'Brian that came in the other day, including a bunch of books in the Aubrey-Maturin series, two of his early sea-faring novels (the ones about the Anson expedition) and some supplementary stuff by O'Brian biographer Dean King.

Last year I asked you guys to take a look at my friend's Kickstarter campaign to get his comic book funded. Well, it got funded and the store has copies now!

It's imaginative, thoughtful, funny, beautifully illustrated, and it's got a lot of heart.

A copy of Gary Shteyngart's Super Sad True Love Story, on the shelf today!

"In the near future, America is crushed by a financial crisis and our patient Chinese creditors may just be ready to foreclose on the whole mess. Then Lenny Abramov, son of an Russian immigrant janitor and ardent fan of “printed, bound media artifacts” (aka books), meets Eunice Park, an impossibly cute Korean American woman with a major in Images and a minor in Assertiveness. Could falling in love redeem a planet falling apart?"

We've got a bunch of George RR Martin's Game of Thrones books, including the most recent one, A Dance with Dragons, and three of the anthologies containing the Dunk and Egg stories, which take place in the same world about 90 years before the events of A Game of Thrones.

I love this book store, I'm in there at least once every week or two and I almost always find what I'm looking for and it's always at a good price. Plus Cormick Mckitty, the cat that lives there is very sweet and loves to be petted.

I went in to the book store for the first time a few weeks ago. With the economy the way it is, I wanted to clean out some of my old books I no longer read and see if I could get a little bit of spending money. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I ended up getting back, and of course the free coffee was a plus too. I would recommend stopping by if you happen to be in Rome.

Books are so affordable..! Got about 15 books for only $30. Staff is incredibly nice and there is a cute cat that lives in the store too. Young adult/Kid section is good, not too many titles but enough to be satisfied. A lot of classic books like Stephen King, VC Adrews series, etc. that are also for a good price and good quality. Must visit if you are in Rome.
