A little jump to @CityofAdelaide, with some main city highlights captured some years ago by Rodrick Bond.
Personally I love this one from Elder Park, but here's the link for the full Virtual Tour in case you want to check some more.

So proud of being part of this project! Many thanks to +Compassion Australia for this opportunity to tell Earn's emotional story. And a big thanks to this amazingly brave girl for sharing it.

Last year, our team spent 12 days filming in Monaco for their tourism department. We filmed from drones and para-gliders, underwater on wrecks and in aquariums, on race cars, in casino's with 50 extras and many more places. The actor is Pierre Frolla, triple World’s Record in free dive. A real pleasure to work with.

This is one of the 360 videos released from that project.

An impressive story we filmed last year for +Compassion Australia The true story of a young Thai girl, saved from a life of poverty and child labour by a multi-national NGO. Meeting Earn and filming her former and current life in central Thailand was an amazing experience for us, I hope you enjoy this project that finally becomes public.

If you like it, please vote for it in the +RØDE Microphones competition.

A few days ago we've heard the news making a big fuss about the 360 Uluru Street View. +ABC News (TV and other media): 'For the first-time kids will be able to walk around Uluru without actually travelling to the centre of Australia' or 'You no longer need to travel to Central Australia to marvel at the beauty of Uluru, with Google Maps launching a street-view of the iconic landmark'. At +The Australian : 'It’s not the first time Google has added an iconic Australian area to Street View. In 2016 it launched an underwater street view of the Great Barrier Reef. It included dive sites at Heron Island, Lady Elliot Island and Wilson Island.' (BTW, Panedia is developing the GBR images for Google in partnership with The Ocean Agency at our Southport offices.)

The thing is that this is not new(s). In fact, Panedia, an Australian (Gold Coast) VR company did a 360 Tour of Uluru in November 2007, almost 10 years ago! Can you imagine that? Our images are very high quality and show beautiful and astonishing views from this Australian cultural icon.
In fact, these images have been available on Google Maps since 2014 - with the possibility to virtually "walk" around Uluru and look in all directions (also up and down) as if you were there - for everyone, anywhere on the planet.

Google replicated Panedia's tour (and I have to say I much prefer the quality of our work) but also added stories from the traditional owners which I think it's a great new addition.

While we think it is great to promote Australia's landmarks and cultural heritage, I also believe that we should commend local people and companies for their pioneering spirit and give them due credit.

Panedia has realized the importance of making Australia's (and much more) experiences available to the world and has been doing it for a long time... and we'll keep on doing that, even if sometimes we don't get full credit for it. 😉

Interesting infographic about how brands can make use of VR.
We've been talking about this for years but VR is not always easy to explain. This graphic helps a lot and shows exactly how we can make good use of this technology connecting it with real environments and content.
