Seeing "The online credit card payment service supports Microsoft Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers only." on an online payment system gives me the warm fuzzies that they know what they're doing... /s

Another Panda update. Will have to keep an eye on this to see how it impacts our clients' sites.

Panda update rolling out

Earlier this week, we started a slow rollout of an improved Panda algorithm, and we expect to have everything done sometime next week.

Based on user (and webmaster!) feedback, we’ve been able to discover a few more signals to help Panda identify low-quality content more precisely. This results in a greater diversity of high-quality small- and medium-sized sites ranking higher, which is nice.

Depending on the locale, around 3-5% of queries are affected.

Yet another reason to ditch Internet Explorer and use Chrome or Firefox instead. Wish I could convince all end users of that.
According to a confirmation by Microsoft late last night, a new zero day vulnerability has been found to affect every version of Internet Explorer. In other words—over a quarter of the entire browser market.

Apple's built-in iPhone weather app seems to always report a temperature that is about 5-7 degrees colder than reality. I like Weather Puppy a lot more. http://weatherpuppy.com/

Support for Google+ for Business is apparently so terrible that my support request shows up on my own personal G+ page, which is not what I want at all.

Google+ for Business is a mess. One of our client's Google+ pages is now blocked with no explanation.

Google is now using HTTPS as a search ranking signal. #SEO

A Better Way to Say Sorry. Really helpful for teaching kids! Four part process:
"I’m sorry for…"
"This is wrong because…"
"In the future, I will…"
"Will you forgive me?"

The state of Maryland is going to scrap and replace its health care exchange website. They have 7 months to do so and plan to start the process tomorrow.
After glitch-filled debut, insurance site is expected to be rebuilt from scratch using technology from Connecticut.

PSA: YouTube's embed code is adding an unnecessary ")" at the end of its code. Remove the ")" from the code before adding to your website. #YouTube

G+ General Help  -

Today when I tried to access the Google+ page for our client's business ServiceMaster of Bel Air (link: https://plus.google.com/b/103069293111946361229/+ServiceMasterOfBelAir/posts), the following message appeared at the top of the screen in red:

"Your page has been blocked since it has been identified as possible spam. To unblock your page, please verify it."

First off, the page is not spam.  It is the official Google+ page for the business ServiceMaster of Bel Air, and I try to post to it weekly.  In actuality it sees updates maybe 2-3 times a month.

I attempted to unblock the page by clicking the Verify button.

Next, Google asked me "Is this your business?" with the following options:

ServiceMaster of Bel Air
Address hidden for privacy (sic)
(410) 836-0382

No, this is not my business
Keep the information I entered

I clicked the top option with ServiceMaster's details, because that is the business that corresponds to the Google+ page.  I then received the following message:

Someone else has already verified this listing
This listing has already been verified by another user. If you want to add this listing to your account, you can make a request that will be sent to the current verified user.

My only options were Request Ownership or Cancel, so I clicked Request Ownership, even though the listing should be verified by my account.

The next page said:

Request to change listing ownership
Is this listing verified in another account which you can control?
Yes
No

I wasn't sure what to click here, since the listing should be verified in my account.  So first I tried clicking Yes, which gave me the following message: "You can use our ownership transfer process to transfer ownership to a new account."  I clicked on the link, which didn't seem to apply to me since the listing is verified in my account.

So I went backwards, and tried clicking No.

Google then asked me the question "Is this listing verified by a user whom you're able to contact?"  Well, yes... that person being me?  So I wasn't sure what to click here.  First I tried clicking Yes, which gave me the following message "Please contact the current listing owner to add you as a manager or to transfer ownership."  Effectively the same answer as above.  Not sure how I add myself as a manager when I'm already a manager, or transfer ownership when I'm already the owner.

So I went back, and tried clicking No to answer the question "Is this listing verified by a user whom you're able to contact?" The prompts then dead-ended at that point.

Can someone please help me with getting our Google+ page unblocked?  Thank you.
