Palmetto Dunes is my favorite place on Hilton Head Island. The resort is beautiful and I enjoy playing golf here several times a month. The courses really are top notch for an area that has so many to choose from. With 3 unique layouts, we don't need to go anywhere else and the staff treats us like family. I've used head pro Doug Weaver for years to work on my game as well. The restaurants are fantastic (don't miss Big Jim's). For families vacationing, Palmetto Dunes has endless activities! And HarbourFest in the summer is a huge deal...free fireworks...can't get much better! Love it!!!!!

Excellent place to spend a vacation!!!!!! The beach is all private and so it is basically empty so you can scoop up about 25 yards of beach to be alone. It is a little creepy going in the ocean because not many people are around and theres like 1 life guard per quarter mile but its very relaxing. Bocce ball dominates this beach because when the tide goes out, it goes wayyyyyyyyy out. The beach is very flat and nice with large puddles for kids to play in. There is a ton of wildlife on the beach such as horseshoe crabs, sting rays, jelly fish, various minnos, many larger fish, dive bomb pelicans, calm seagulls, but there are of course the exciting SHARKS AND DOLPHINS! Dolphins swim by all the time in pack of 5. They swam about 10 yards in front of me at one point....little creepy. Biking is a very big part of this area as there are trails all over the island. Make sure you rent a bike! Overall an excellent vacation!

Nice place. Quaint and quite. Fairly close to brace. Older but still nice.

LOVE this place! It's casual (its the beach after all), so you don't have to get dressed up, but you definitely can if you want to. We're enjoying a nice little winter respite here in one of the villas. Had great fish tacos at The Dunes House yesterday, and I tried the gouda burger at Big Jim's restaurant last night - WOW! Now all I have to do is go for a run on the beach to burn off some of the calories! But that's not so bad - its the beach after all).

spectacular! you are only 1/4 mile from the ocean but you think you are in a deep forest. the narrow fairways make your heart skip a beat on the fairways and the doglegs make you wonder where the flag is. enjoy the round and watch out for the gators! by far the best palmetto dunes has to offer.
