Due to an overbooking issue on the hotel's part, we were given a complimentary upgrade to an ocean view master suite. What a nice surprise! This was one of the nicest rooms that I've ever stayed in. It was enormous and very nicely decorated. There were 2 large balconies directly overlooking the beach and ocean, and we could hear the waves crashing throughout the entire suite. The resort features many amenities for beach activities, and the pool area is really nice. There location is excellent, with great restaurants within walking distance. Finally, every staff member was helpful and friendly. We definitely plan to return to Pacific Terrace!

It was nice. The bed was comfortable. It was way overpriced for the room but location was great. Bikes, umbrellas, towels were provided. Screen door locked us on the balcony for a bit but staff worked hard to rescue us. Good and beverages were tasty.

I love this little hotel. It has so much character. The location is great, right around the corner from the Weston and you pay much less. The staff was so nice and very accommodating. When I return, I'd stay here. It's an older hotel but it's super clean. Tiny rooms but you are there to explore the city not spend time in your room!I love San Fran! I wished I could have stayed there longer!

My wife and I stayed here last December as a treat to ourselves. And what a treat! Large rooms with balconies look out over the beach and the ocean. At any time of day, as you can see from the pictures, the view was wonderful. Great included breakfast in the morning and even smores by the fire in the evening. Very romantic and quiet that we wanted to stay in our room the whole time and just listen to the ocean. Only fall back was, with a facilities this nice with an expensive price, why do the large screen TVs play on standard definition with a very limited selection of channels? My wife loves to watch HGTV on vacation and sadly she did not get her Fixer Upper fix!

Excelend hotel. I will focus on the small little things that made this not a 5 star review. First of all if you're only staying for a couple of nights pay the extra fee to reserve a room on the 3rd floor. We stayed 5 nights and we chose to take the gamble and end up in room 215 (can't remember if the fee was 25 or 35 $ for each night) but we could hear every step and conversation from the room above us. The beds are very comfortable but the AC units are kind of noisy when they kick on. The shower doors didn't seal properly so we had to waste 2-3 towels every day just to keep the water in the bathroom. We made our reservations thru AAA and it was supposed to include a welcome glass of wine, souvenir photo, bicycle rentals, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and a 1pm late check-out and receive 50% off of the breakfast menu in the Caribbean Room (none were offered upon check in). The girl that checked us in only offered a book of coupons for $17 per day with all of the above. Also she almost charged us $25 for the parking for each day until I said something that it was supposed to be $22. The location is right on the beach which is great but like other reviews said, it is located right next to some public restrooms which attracts a few homeless people. No big deal but i can see people having an issue with that. The pool is heated so it felt great even with cloudy and windy weather. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Would i recommend or stay here again ? YES it's just the small little things that make the difference some times.

When I first arrived to the hotel I was kind of shocked how the appearance looked from the outside. It looked kind of outdated, but once you step inside it was top notch service and the room was well kept and updated. Perfect access to the beach and to the boardwalk. They were quite accommodating since they were fixing their hot tub because of a leak, so they offer to shuttle us to their sister hotel that had an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Breakfast was average the standard eggs, bacon, and basic breakfast. Friendly staff who were eager to make your breakfast pleasant though. Valet was amazing always had the car ready in the front when you called down. A little touch of cold bottle waters in the cup holders showed that they actually cared. Little things does matter compared to these bigger chain hotels that charge you ridiculous prices and does not take care of their guests. Throughout the stay it has been warm and friendly here in San Diego beach. My girlfriend and I would highly recommend this place for anyone that wants to get away and enjoy what the beach has to offer you.
