These aren't your average college football games. The Poinsettia Bowl (December 21) and the Holiday Bowl (December 27) bring with them a bevy of fun activities, including music concerts and America's biggest balloon parade.

We had a lovely visit! My husband and I stayed there for part of our honeymoon and enjoyed being so close to the ocean. We loved the fire pits and complimentary glass of wine! The room was good size and the breakfast was delicious! It was a little pricey but good food. There was construction going on in the room next to us, but they comped our breakfasts for the rest of the stay. I would come back again anytime I was in San Diego!

We booked the room 2 months in advance. After we checked in we noticed the shower was stained and kinda gross and the phones didn't work. At $400 a night we expected a lot more. They changed us to a different room with separate beds and told us it was a better room but I can't see why they believe that. Now we have to spend all day tomorrow looking for another hotel.

Stayed there with my wife and two teenage boys for three nights. The room was spacious, the view of the ocean good (knew going in that it was a partial view room, so no negative surprise there), and the staff terrific. Homemade cookies in afternoons, apples and fruit every day. The resort fee included bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas. Those small touches were much appreciated! It is in the middle of a busy stretch of Pacific Beach, and the pool is pretty small. The pool size was maybe the only knock; otherwise, thoroughly enjoyable and would absolutely stay there again!

Due to an overbooking issue on the hotel's part, we were given a complimentary upgrade to an ocean view master suite. What a nice surprise! This was one of the nicest rooms that I've ever stayed in. It was enormous and very nicely decorated. There were 2 large balconies directly overlooking the beach and ocean, and we could hear the waves crashing throughout the entire suite. The resort features many amenities for beach activities, and the pool area is really nice. There location is excellent, with great restaurants within walking distance. Finally, every staff member was helpful and friendly. We definitely plan to return to Pacific Terrace!

Awesome view. Great staff. Very expensive. Don't bother ordering food on site. They apparently order it from a restaurant down the street. It's extremely overpriced and cold. The breakfast, however is awesome. Made on site. Still probably the best beach front property in SD.

Had a great stay at this hotel. We had an ocean front room over looking the pool and it was beautiful! The room was large and well appointed. The staff at the hotel we excellent. All of them, not just a few were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.

Staff is nice for most part. Cookies would be nice but staff making is not clean. Room is decent but to much dust on lamps and fan to rate higher

Lovely rooms. Balcony has a lovely breeze and view of the ocean. Short walk to many food and drink establishments be it day or night.
