Loving the cover to my upcoming sequel of (R)EVOLUTION in the Phoenix Horizon series, (ID)ENTITY. Many thanks to artist Adam Martinakis and editor Jason Kirk for all the great work on this.

I believe my friend Russell Rukin and I have achieved a first: the first blockchain verified digital autograph on an e-reader. That is his Kindle in the photo. I created a .txt note on my Kindle, which I sent to Russell for him to put on his Kindle and then deposited the same .txt file into the blockchain using proofofexistence.com. This means there is now a truly independent, verifiable claim to my autograph to him, even though it's in a digital medium. We cannot find proof anyone else has done this. Go Blockchain! I'm curious as to your thoughts. Thanks!

Wow... seriously: "Those volunteers whose happiness, according to their questionnaires, was primarily hedonic, to use the scientific term, or based on consuming things, had surprisingly unhealthy profiles, with relatively high levels of biological markers known to promote increased inflammation throughout the body. Such inflammation has been linked to the development of cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. They also had relatively low levels of other markers that increase antibody production, to better fight off infections.

"The volunteers whose happiness was more eudaemonic, or based on a sense of higher purpose and service to others — a small minority of the overall group — had profiles that displayed augmented levels of antibody-producing gene expression and lower levels of the pro-inflammatory expression."

Being altruistic makes you healthier all the way down to the gene expression level. Did I say Wow?

I've been saying Google is the third lobe of my brain for a loooooong time...

You're on G+. You've raged against Facebook, wandered away from Diaspora, and watched the deaththroes of MySpace. So here's the next step: Zucker claims to be a user-owned social networking site. I like their concept. Check it out. I've signed up and we'll see how it goes.

Right now, my G+ is blocking the attachment of the sign up link to Zucker.  Here's the link: http://www.zurker.com/i-223477-stmsmwterk
