A perfect pub with a great local menu that does exactly what it says on the tin. It looks like the owner is very keen on a busy event schedule which is very admirable. It would be very easy to sit back and let a pub like this just do the normal pub thing, but it seems always something is going on.

The selection of beer is as good as you can find in Nottingham.

We decided to get some food after the riverside festival (4 of us). They found a table for us although it was very busy. Service was excellent (v friendly) and the food was delivered as it was ready. The humous was very tasty, the beef melted in the mouth, the chorizo was excellent. There was a fantastic atmosphere and the price was also very reasonable.

Only problem was the beer tasted like the lines had not been cleaned for a little while but didnt stop us having a few.

A good pub if your looking for a pub lunch and a good beer. The steak burger was quite a handful but it was tasty and the steak was well cooked.

Best in East Midlands

Iron Maidens (Nottingham) Limited

I have used Iron Maidens regularly for the last year. They have been amazing I run a business where I need to get lots of items pressed and the quality of service is far better than any other company I have dealt with.

They are flexible, great value and Lee who does the pick up from my home on occasion is a star.

I cannot recommend them enough it is very noticeable when a service which you may not think too much about takes the time to go above and beyond.

Well done.

I had never dived before and I was trying to decide on a reputable company to go with but also dynamic trainers and full all round service. This is certainly the whole package. On arrival the night before diving I wanted to check out where I needed to go and there was Serena available in the evening to chat and even the teachers I was going out with the following day, Quentin and Ben. If your lucky enough to learn with these two you are in very safe hands, thanks guys. The venue is a bar/dive shop which is excellent to socialise as well as study and meet. The first day was in a pool which was a short taxi ride (they paid for) and it was clean and organisation was superb. After picking the right equipment on the first day the teams take it to the boat the following day/s for you (which is a real bonus at 7am), thanks again for that guys. All training in the pool and on the boat is professional and gives a chance to explore and have fun as well. ALL of the trainers I met was not only really knowledgeable, passionate and highly qualified (everyone had 100's of dives completed) they were all chatty, easy going and personable. I completed the Open water, advanced and nitrox during my time and I would certainly be very happy to go back for more training in future. Criticisms - not directly for Rainbow but more about the pre dive training (which is vital). Do it on-line before you go. Otherwise you will spend a long day doing the training on your holiday, it is possible and many people on the boat with me did that but I would rather have been diving or enjoying my holiday. Thank you all very much you made my first, of many, dive experiences a complete pleasure.

This is certainly a place worth visiting due to its history. The selection of beers is reasonable. The food is very average. Do not go expecting anything amazing the higgledy piggledy structure is the best bit. I think with a bit of TLC and improvement on the menu this could be one of the places to go in Nottingham.

After a few days in Barcelona me and my girlfriend travelled down to this beautiful little farm house on recommendation from my cousin. Griselda who greets you is a delight and happy to help with any queries or helping find a drink or nibble during the day. It is a peaceful place where reading and relaxing are the focus. If you are keen on your food then this is perfect every night there is 5 course meal (€30) which really shows the culinary skills of Francesc. Highly recommended.

The Angel is run by a lovely bubbly couple who are more than happy to chat to whoever comes through the door. The beer is great and Gin is flowing. Great pub I must eat next time as the menu looks fab.

If your looking for a special meal in Nottingham this is definitely the place to go. The food is amazing. It is one of a very few restaurants that can actually produce tapas which would not stand out like a sore thumb in Spain. The wine list is very good and the atmosphere is buzzing. The portion sizes are not massive but you would not expect them to be but it means that to get filled up it can cost a pretty penny. They turn tables in the evening, why wouldn't they, but it means that if your in early then they make it clear when your time is up. On the other hand I imagine that if you are having a later meal you would probably not have to wait ages for your table. All in all a fantastic place for an indulgent meal.

The perfect breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon snack, early dinner, dinner location! If you have not tried Delilah yet I cannot recommend it highly enough, although if your planning on going can you try not to go when I am as there is limited seating (adding to the appeal). Everything on the menu is worth a try. The service is perfect. The range of dining delights is sublime. The Magpie beer is a winner!
