Aw hell, I remember that game. They're making it mighty tempting to get an OUYA after work

+Mike Bean, it's worth it for the emulators alone, IMO. I mean, it's $99. Get real. We all pay $60 for one single game in the modern gaming world, lol.
I still have mixed feelings about getting one. +OUYA want to send me one for free to review for my blog I'm starting this week?

Going to wait to see what Google come up with, their new Play Games service is pretty cool. Too many backers still waiting for products, refunds and even responses for me to seriously consider buying one. There are three in my local GAME just gathering dust.
I love this game. Played through in one sitting when it was first released.
I stopped using my Ouya for gaming 2 weeks after it arrived. Emulators are nice but nearly every game for the Ouya that i tried was crap, really bad, Bad, nearly okay. Nothing more.
So i now just use the console as media center.
In my opinion the Ouya really fails in the part of gaming. Except for the emulatorsd and the good old games.

+Lars S. or TowerFall. Or ShadowGun. Or Ittle Dew. Or Sky Arena. Or No Brakes Valet. Or Knightmare Tower...
That would be great if my ouya hadnt bricked upon plugging it in for the second time.
it's 3.99...

+Lars S. There are plenty of quality titles on the Ouya. If they aren't to your taste then so be it. But there are plenty that are objectively NOT "crap".

I suspect Ouya is an acquired taste. Feels like people fall into camps, and I suspect some folks still want the blockbusters and the AAA titles.

+Travis Jordan , there tends to be a Bluetooth issue with the controller if there's anything blocking the signal to the OUYA. I have three different controllers coming from different places and they all work just fine. How far away from the OUYA are you?
Set your Ouya so the plastic part's facing forward/toward the controllers, and it's fine. That being said, once in a while there will be a sporadic input lag spike for a second or two which is really annoying, and I hope they get that fixed soon. (Happens on both my PS3 and Ouya controllers.)
When I turned 16 I got an amazing gift, a trip to Florida where my sister took me to Disney World, plus a hundred bucks spending money. Half of that went to towards Sonic CD. Sadly the game was beaten in a weekend but I still had lots of fun with it.
+Travis Jordan When you turn yours on again you will have a lot of firmware updates to sit through... You should though because the library has improved a lot since launch. Interesting titles come out weekly.

it saddens me to say but Ouya is a fail.
Hmmm well I guess nothing in the world is free.
Sad to see such little faith so early in the project. Gamers really are pricks.

Best machine ever. Awesome for emulators and low electricity media center!
+James Lloyd that's what they said about Android at first.
Ya ouya has come a long way. Wish I didn't get a kick starter one but I love the games I've played and emulate as well

People need to stop being morons, and start having PATIENCE with Kickstarter campaigns of all kinds. They're not just new products, they are new COMPANIES. Give them time. If you can't handle that, don't back Kickstarter things.
ouya is awesome, I'm totally hooked on Nimble quest right now. tried hiding in plain sight last night and it was a riot
Still doesn't work with my plasma tv. Nearly three months of waiting for a response to my ticket. Multiple complaints via twitter. DONT GET AN OUYA. YOU WILL BE SORRY. THERE IS NO SUPPORT. THEY ARE TRYING TO BUY OUR HAPPINESS for $13

+Chuck Givens +Carrie Brown i've tried every single title that was out about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Towerfall is kinda nice, bombsquad is too. You don't know Jack is great, but it was already great 15 years ago (or when it came out first). Bards Tale, also great but very buggy on Ouya. I could go on. The thing about the Ouya is, that everybody can develop a game for the console. Great concept in the first plasce but it leafs to the fact that atm there are many very buggy titles out there and many games that are just boring after 10minutes.
Of cours everyones taste is different, but sales show that i'm not so wrong with my opinion.
Developers are more than dissappointed and (of course) Julie still is saying everything is running great.
But as i saied, i haven't used my Ouya for gaming for several weeks now, so do 2 of my friends owning the Ouya. And in er every Tech-Podcast i listen to, they say the same.
Sticking to the console and the concept behind it is great, loving it for some games is too, but denying that it has problems is not.
There are maybe 5 good games out there, well okay make it 10. It all depends on the taste. But they are still advertising the Ouya with a store full of far more than 100 titels. Many can't be played and yes i have to say it again, sadly many are just crap. They are just there to be in the store, not to be a really good game at all. Just there to push the numbers of titles.
And believe me, this makes me sad. Because i believed in the project. Thats why i backed it. But they just kept on pushing developers to Get their titles out for the release (or shortly afterwards) just to keep up the hype about a huge number of games for the start.
And having a small community defending a product is also nice, but beeing succesfull is just another thing.
I hope that it'll just take some more time to make the Ouya and especially the games better.

Whilst I'd agree to a certain extent that OUYA has a few issues I'd also say that it does exactly what it was advertised as doing... Android on TV and it does just great. As a media server it is also good and the icing on the cake is Emulation for which it excels. Earthbound on OUYA, yes yes yes!!

Only one person I know is actually happy with their OUYA. Most people I know sold, threw away or boxed theirs back up within a few weeks of having it connected up. Mine is only rigged back up so I can play an NES game (My NES recently passed on)...
Shamefully a lot of the games just don't translate well to the TV. I've only purchased 2 games on the store, FFIII and Shadowgun. I got stung hard by the FFIII purchase when I found if I didn't have access to the internet I couldn't start the game at all.
Im game I am very much looking forward to on the OUYA though is Pier Solar HD... another kickstarter I backed :)
The OUYA isn't a bad little box for what it is... but I do think the guys behind it need to put their business hats on. Giving people a $13.37 we're sorry voucher to try and calm down the armies of raging backers at their door isn't very clever... 1337... Leet... seriously. Im sure they thought it was funny/clever but DAMNED... Im sure its just pissed off the guys that still don't have their consoles that much more... not the fact its being given out and they cant use it but just that they're trying to be clever/funny again...
It almost does what it was advertised to do... Will get better in future Im sure.
I could go on for days about this... but... not worth it lol. Nice console but as people have said... has problems.

+Lars S. - "Sales show that I'm not wrong with my opinion" - Well, by that logic, McDonald's has the world's greatest cheeseburger. rolls eyes
I think I'll use the Backers store credit giveaway for that.
Thanks +OUYA for the 13.37$ ;)
If my second Controller will arrive I'm entirely happy.

+James Barr I think you didn't get my point ;)
I'm not talking about total mainstream success. My point is, that the Ouya can only be successfull in its part of the market, or better market niche, if the customers support the software by buying the games and if it gets good reviews to attract the specific customers.
The problem i see is, that currently most games are not selling well (there are several comments from App-Developers on that) and that many people have stopped using the console for what it was initially meant to be, for gaming.
Of course it was advertised as being open and i also didn't buy it mainly for gaming. But thats not what helps the Ouya in the long run.
So currently only a few people are actuelly buying the games which means, that most of the poeple that own a Ouya aren't satisfied with what they saw in the demo the tested.
At the moment the Ouya in case of gaming is, and there your example is correct, more like McDonalds with burgers. Its just about quantity and not that much about quality because only the numbers of games in the store are interesting, not that the games are really good.
