#HearingFactMonday🤓

Long or repeated exposure to sounds at or above 85 decibels can cause hearing loss. The louder the sound, the shorter the amount of time it takes for Noise-Induced Hearing Loss to happen.

So protect your hearing in loud environments☝️

It's Microtia Awareness Day🙌

Microtia is Latin for the words micro and otia, meaning “little ear”

It is a congenital deformity affecting the outer ear (pinna) where the ear does not fully develop.

Those with Microtia are an amazing community of people. Their stories repeatedly tell that with or without technology, medical procedures or innovative research, the most significant advancement of all is human support, awareness, and acceptance.

Share to spread awareness!😊

Throwback to the 1946 Oticon Model TA - William Demant’s first hearing aid produced in Denmark.

The name Oticon was taken from the Greek word “Oti”, meaning “Ear”, and the Latin word “Con”, meaning “With”. Literally translated, Oticon means “with ear”.

Hearing loss is more common than you think, and it does not only a consequence of old age anymore...

When an individual is exposed at work or at home to sounds that are too loud for too long a time, sensitive structures of the inner ear can be damaged, causing noise-induced hearing loss...

Now imagine some of your favorite sounds: birds chirping, the sound of rain pitter patter, child's laughter or ocean waves...

when was the last time you were able to enjoy them?

Take Ross's advice and ''don't waste another day of poor hearing...''

Not all bone anchored hearing solutions sound the same...
sound quality, clarity, aesthetics, size... all can vary from device to device...

If you have a choice which car to drive or which phone to use why not chose a hearing solution that fits your preferences?

You always have a choice to try different options available!

Just ask your clinic for a Ponto SuperPower trial on a softband💪

...and make an informed decision regarding your own hearing!http://otic.one/BwB
