Installed today (Sunday) in Colchester High street in an attempt to cause as little disruption to business and the general public as possible. A 5.5 by 2 metre fully cassetted manual awning. Replacing the aged and well used awning that has featured on the shop front of Mann's Music for many years, the new awning looks exceedingly neat tucked under the shops excellent signage.

Installed today in Colchester. A hardwood café style plantation shutter. Café style shutters cover only a proportion of the window, giving an element of privacy whilst leaving a lot of natural light to still enter the room. This particular example has been installed in an upstairs bathroom of a recently refurbished cottage. Both panels of the shutter fold back against the wall on the left. This configuration is an option which on this occasion was practical rather than just aesthetic due to the shower door off to the right.

Vertical Blinds installed to an angled window in Ipswich, Suffolk. Each length of fabric is cut individually to size and attached to the rail using special clips that allow the blind to still turn and operate as a normal.

An absolutely stunning hardwood plantation shutter installed by Othello Blinds last month.  These cost more than the other shutter materials available, but the weight, look and feel of them is incomparable. Even with the many years experience we have installing shutters, I can't help but be impressed by the quality and beauty of these.

A demonstration of today's installation. Using the same touch screen wireless remote as is used to control the electric windows, the blind can be opened, closed and stopped anywhere in between.

Installed today in Kesgrave, Suffolk - an electrically operated, touch screen remote controlled Velux rooflight blind. Velux are outstanding at innovative design, and this electric blind is no exception. The blind integrates perfectly with the existing electrically operated window and works from the same touch screen remote. Multiple blinds can be programmed to work off the same unit, either simultaneously or individually. This particular blind is made in a black out material to block out the sun when closed, but translucent fabrics are available to shade the room whilst not blocking out the light entirely.

Installed today in Colchester, Essex - two near identical Perfect Fit roof blind installations inside neighboring new properties. Both clients opted for our "honeycomb" fabric, offering insulation against both heat ingress during the summer and heat loss during the winter. It also has the added benefit of concealing the cords of the blinds within the two layers of fabric, providing a more aesthetically pleasing finish. With the sun out in full today, both customers were exceedingly pleased with the immediate difference they could feel as soon as the blinds went up.

Installed this week in Witham, Essex. Two electric drop arm awnings, both operated from one multi-channel Somfy remote control. The blinds can be raised and lowered individually or simultaneously. The customer previously had two manually operated awnings requiring them to come outside and physically lower or raise the blind using a cable. Now they can operate them from the comfort of their lounge when desired.
