Tomorrow on Friday 23rd June marks RSPCA's bring your dog to work day. So why not surprise your pooch and coworkers by bringing your friendly companion to the office!
Bringing dogs to work is a guaranteed stress-buster. Studies have found that workers who brought their pooches to their (pet-friendly) office were significantly less stressed than those who didn’t. And the benefits don’t stop at stress relief! It is amazing what a walk around the block with a dog will do. A brief midday walk during your lunch break with your dog can be a mental break you may not have taken without a dog in tow- it allows employees to come back refreshed.
Jump on board and bring a smile to your coworkers faces tomorrow by bringing your side kick along for the day.
Check out our teams friendly four legged friends below. How could your day not improve with these guys around!

Hand Therapy Awareness Week
Fun Fact #4. What sets our hands apart from other animals is our opposable thumbs—this means our thumbs and fingers can work together.
Thumbs and fingers can take a beating at this time of the year with winter sports. Whether you're playing football, hockey, netball or soccer they are always cold and always coming into contact with balls and other players. Jarring, breaks and dislocations can all be helped by manual therapy and splinting from our hand therapist Marnie.
If you need any help with your hands, call us on 6021 2777 or book online at https://osteohealth1.cliniko.com/bookings#service

Hand Therapy Awareness Week
Fun Fact #3. Our fingers are even more sensitive than our eyes—the fingertips have a large number of receptors responsible for sending messages to the brain.
These hands pictured from Marnie's recent trip to Italy were taken in Venice. The art depicts a pair of gigantic hands rising from the water to support the sides of the Ca' Sagredo Hotel. It is a visual statement of the impact of climate change and rising sea levels in Venice.
We can't promise this kind of strength in your hands after seeing Marnie but she will give it her best shot! To book your appointment online follow this link https://osteohealth1.cliniko.com/bookings#service

Fun Fact #2. Fingers don’t have muscles—tendons in our fingers are moved by the muscles of the forearm.
You may not know this but Marnie can treat everything from your elbow through to your fingertips. If you weren't aware of this, tennis elbow is something that is included in her long list of skills. If you need help with any hand or elbow related issues you can book an appointment with Marnie here: https://osteohealth1.cliniko.com/bookings#service

Do you often wonder if you should be taking supplements? And if so, how are you meant to know which ones you should be taking? There seems to be something for everything and it can get very confusing!
Osteohealth has recently started stocking a range of Bioceuticals supplements and Tom has put together a blog on his thoughts when it comes to taking them. Quite the sceptic here, so it's worth a read if this is something you have been thinking about: http://osteohealth.net.au/do-supplements-work/ #Osteohealth #Bioceuticals

Osteohealth will again be hosting another Pain Management Program. It was a great success earlier this year so our osteopath Kate and OT Marnie will be teaming up again to run the program over three weeks at the end of June!
The course will be an evidence based educational program to assist participants in better understanding pain and the skills required to manage persistent pain.
If you are interested in coming along or know of someone who might be, please email kate@osteohealth.net.au
