I did go to this club on a Sunday night, but it was still below my expectations. The entrance fee is 10€ and that raises to 20€ after 2am (or so they said that night, I think it varies per person). They also charge 2€ for every detachable item you want to give to the coat check (so a sweater and a jacket or a jacket that unzips into two parts are 4€). There was a saxophone player which was pretty cool, but not dance worthy. All of the people in the club seemed like tourists and out of place for a club. Nobody was dancing, there were 85% guys in the place, and the price was pretty high.

Guys pay 15 euros entry(with one mixer and a beer/wine) - which is not too bad in my opinion and girls get in for free(no drinks). Music is mainly EDM and a bit of mainstream. It's okay but seems like it's mainly for tourists and just looks like any other clubs.

Caution: Do not attend this club. My wife and l have enjoyed clubbing for many years and wanted to attend a night club in Barcelona since we were visiting. We got drawn in since they offer free vip admission if you sign up online. We arrived before 12am and it was not crowded. Shortly after 12:30am tons of people started crowding the dance floor and after 1am it was crowded to the point of being dangerous. l was following my wife since she needed to use the bathroom and all of a sudden this bouncer who looked like he was on roids and bald started pulling my arm and being physically aggressive. I tried to explain that l needed to get through since my wife was ahead of me and l did not want to separate and he kept on saying, "VIP only!" Then he shoved me with full force and l fell on one of the tables nearby. The push was so strong that my phone fell out of my pocket. l was lucky enough that there was nice people nearby who helped me up and also gave back my phone. Since my wife was not safe alone, I had to push through the crowd and felt someone attempt to pickpocket me. I ended up finding my wife, but l wanted to warn others that this is a bad place. Please listen to the other bad reviews since they are correct and do not risk going to this club even if it is free.

Don't waste your time all offers listed on line don't exist and stuff is extremely rude, they ignore questions and pretend to not speak English if there's a question

One of the most known places in Barcelona. Music is commercial and it is normally entry-paying. However the inside part is very nice and the music is normally very actual.

It's a club... Has loud music, overpriced beer and a silly dress code that's strict enough that you can't really exist and not violate it somehow. (It probably just exists to serve as the go-to excuse whenever they want someone out of the club.) Tries hard to be classy but in the end all clubs of this type ends up with sticky floors and nasty toilets, Opium is no exception.
