While preparing for the next release of OpenShot, my Windows build server just died again. Ughhh... Anybody interested in donating some hardware? =) Nothing too fancy: just a nice mid-range computer. Please email me if you are interested in helping out: I figure... no harm in asking, right? Thanks!

Just added Bitcoin donations to, for anyone that wants to give it a try! It's pretty slick, generates a random address for each donation (for privacy), estimates USD values, has a QR code and bitcoin:URL, and automatically posts your name (or anonymous) to our website. Please let me know if you run into any issues.

The 4th beta of OpenShot 2.x is now available! Improved stability, better installers, new features, bug fixes, and more! Check out the full list of improvements here!

My Windows 10 development machine is back online, after a brisk 3 days of installing updates (I start with Windows 8, upgrade to 8.1, upgrade to 10, with a few dozen reboots mixed in). Then setup my development environment, bang my head on the wall a few times, and boom, it's ready!

Originally, I was virtualizing Windows, but that ran into lots of performance related issues while developing, plus it became difficult to back-up my image (since the image is constantly changing). So, I figured a video editor probably deserves some dedicated hardware. Now, back to preparing 2.0.7. Doing some final testing now.

Grrrr... I was hoping to release Beta 4 tonight, and did a routine reboot (if there is such a thing in Windows), and then this... It's now stuck in an idiot loop. I have a bad feeling I'll be setting up a new Windows environment very soon. Can't create the Windows build of OpenShot without Windows. =)
