Alpine fits for some. I used it, but some configuration implementations seemed strange. Maybe have sense for someone who has used it for years. However I got kinda positive feel about it.

The mathematics and properties of discrete signals and quantum mechanics have intriguing parallels. Take, for instance, Heisenberg uncertainty principle in QM and Gabor(-Heisenberg) limit in signal processing. Or the fact that the quantum state of an isolated system is a complex-valued wave function; and that the position and momentum of a particle are related through a Fourier transform.

That's cool man, no grudge. Yours is a valid point. +Oona Räisänen 's intuition and almost instinctive feel for this field is amazing though, have never seen anything like that

Building a half-wave dipole. What's the effect of the air gap (feed gap)? How wide should it be in relation to the elements? Does it matter?

Inspired by David Galloway's "Square Wave from the summation of odd-integer harmonic frequencies", I made a spin-off based on the same code:

http://www.khanacademy.org/computer-programming/spin-off-of-david-galloways-square-wave-from-the-summation-of-odd-integer-harmonic-frequencies/5154727290208256

This version provides an alternative solution that "completes the square" (so to speak), by alternating the phases and directions of the waves, in such a way that the projection on the other (real/imaginary) axis is also a square wave.

Thanks David Galloway for sharing your code.

Oooh! I should try and find this Ted talk where a scientist explains that understanding the mechanics behind a phenomenon in no way takes away the beauty of it. Does anybody know which one i'm talking about?

On Time 7:00 you see this comparison with MusicCassette.
Why ist there so much more tape visible in the old cassette?
How long is recordig time ? Looks like 50 min !
At the end of tape, most recorders wind until tape is tearing on the coil. Is it fixed well there to take this?
Looks to me like the smokeless ashtray in "Gremlins"!
