After enjoying the Oakwood Cemetery Ghost Walk last night we decided to visit the OHA today and just take a look!! What an amazing collection of artifacts from Onondaga County's history. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and we decided to join for the year. Now we will get updates and be able to do research. Thank you OHA!!

Today in 1966, the Beach Boys played the Onondaga County War Memorial in front of 4,500 people. Their opening acts were two Syracuse bands: The Monterays and Carmen and the Vikings. This was the second time the Vikings opened for the Beach Boys, the first time was at MacArthur Stadium on September 3, 1964.
The Monterays, who still perform today, are the longest running rock band in Central New York: 54 years and counting. #Syracuse #SyracuseHistory #CNY #BeachBoys
