Google My Business / Google+ For Business Holiday Tips:

HOLIDAY HOURS: If you have upcoming changing holiday hours be sure to enter the new hours 48 HOURS before the change is to take place

24 HOURS A DAY: If you're open 24 hours set your hours to 12AM-12AM

PINNED POSTS: Post and pin it to the top of your profile holiday promotion or holiday sale, poll or some special, the post will pin to the top of your page. Sticks there. Access from the top right corner of the post. Front and center on Google+ pages.

NIGHTTIME HOLIDAY SEARCHES. Google study: 1/3 of all shopping related searches are happening between the hours of 10pm and 4am. AdWords can help you capitalize on these hours while you're resting, set up some Google advertising.

Best Practices Google My Business, log in regularly and make edits as needed. Third parties can suggest changes, make sure all the info is correct for your business.

Brick and Mortar business: "We have multiple locations, how should we list the Google+ business page?" Google answer: Just list the business name, resist the urge to add the location to the name, for example "Joe's Juice Las Vegas" and Joe's Juice San Francisco". You can have a separate page for each and it will be clear where the location is by the address on the page, just list each as "Joe's Juice".

Not to be outdone by Facebook's recent logo change, Google logo gets a significant face lift.

Google+ is  something regular people haven't adopted (and I have lots of anecdotes re: why) but when it comes to business  a Google+ page is important. The Google My Business family of services is important for findability. (Google+, Maps/Local, etc). Google+ business pages come up first in mobile search. Try Googling your business name on a mobile device and see if you need to CREATE or VERIFY a Google My Business listing. A good investment of time that will increase your business presence online.

On Google+: "It’s fair to say you’re about to see a huge shift in what Plus is becoming."  https://medium.com/backchannel/bradley-horowitz-says-that-google-photos-is-gmail-for-your-images-and-that-google-plus-is-not-dead-54be1d641526   (Bradley Horowitz, Google's head of Streams, Photos and Sharing)

Sort of obsessed with the amount of time Facebook spends on logo changes. Can you tell the difference? They say it's to make it more mobile-friendly.
