Story
Introduction
I'm a musical composer, performer, musicologist, flamenco guitarist and pianist. I compose mainly for myself and perform mostly as a flamenco guitarist and accompanist. I have worked as an associate music instructor at Santa Ana College since 2001. I have also been a principal musician for the Department of Dance at UC Irvine on and off since 2001.

I've been active as a flamenco dance accompanist and soloist in the LA area for nearly 15 years, where I got my start in '98 with Juan Talavera. I perform modern flamenco in the styles of
Cañizares, Tomatito and the like, and pop flamenco rumba and Latin jazz.

I am currently doing graduate research in Musicology at CSU Fullerton under the auspices of the eminent musicologist, John Koegel. My thesis is, "An Anthology and Study of Nineteenth-Century Mexican Guitar Music."

Other topics I have developed during my graduate work there are: "Musical Theater in Mexican Los Angeles: 1930-1939," "The State of Research on the Mexican Musical Baroque Period," "Musical Romanticism in Nineteenth-Century Mexico," "Expanding the Definition of Baroque Music Through the Example of Latin American Baroque Hybridity," and “Content and Form in the Incantation of Ecuatorial by Edgard Varèse with New Proposals for Future Performance.”

=====================================
