Do you like the direction your story is going in? If you had asked me a few months ago, I would have said no. I would have told you how I was stuck in France, without friends my own age, without a job or the ability to work, without the ability to even…

This week has been tough. I could have chosen a myriad of negative words for this week, but I went for one that may seen a little strange; Hair. I chose Hair this week for reasons I hope I managed to get across in yesterday’s poem on hair. After my huge…

I might be relapsing at the moment...or I might just be dealing with what was a HUGELY stressful day yesterday. Either way, tomorrow I have a hair appointment to get rid of a load of this hair, and if I wake up feeling fine tomorrow I can always cancel.

As a side note #BPD sucks!

Dear Me, You rock! After your baby steps last week you have taken this challenge by the balls and begun to take control. I know it was hard, I know that the whole time you clenched your sweaty hands together, I know that you fell over many of your words,…

Summer weather has hit us and we have been sweltering in the mid 30s this week (without air conditioning in our car when we went to pick up our guests), we have some family staying with us for a week and, with Mum off to the UK for a wedding this weekend,…

I know the prompt for this week’s Prose for Thought is “Outdoors” but I have no inspiration on that theme I’m afraid…I did take the photo outdoors though! Instead I want to talk to you about hair, the stuff on your head, and my Borderline Personality…

Of course, there had to be a birthday cake in today’s post (not because it’s anyone’s birthday, just because that’s what I think of when I hear ‘cake’), so let’s get that out of the way first: But really, this post is about cupcakes. See, I don’t…

Introduction

I'm a tea drinking, chocolate munching, social networking writer.I'm battling various mental health issues, namely anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder and depression, and now write to bring attention to the reality of mental illness and help others through similar problems.

I'm a British expat, currently living in France and travelling to Spain for those chilly winter months.

In my spare time I'm a bit of a geek, enjoy reading and social networking. I have recently taken up photography and am really enjoying developing this new skill and takes my Canon EOS 1000D everywhere.

Very opinionated and strong willed and yet also old fashioned with a desire to go back to the 1950s, ultimately from life I want the white picket fence in the suburbs; the Disney fairytale.

Great food, brilliant service, lovely atmosphere. The only let down was the toilets.

“Mad Stewart and Rupert Bear have holidayed in various ‘pensions’ over the years and we find that their time spent holidaying with Stephanie at Les Creature Comforts the most agreeable. Her individual care was reflected when, while we were in the UK, she rang for reassurance that I was aware of the cyst on Stew’s back. Her empathy for the animals in her care is evident within 5 minutes of meeting her.”
