My betting history wouldn’t take long to go through; playing card games for matchsticks as a child, a few bets on horses with my Dad when I was young, and some teenager poker games with friends (not of the strip variety!). It’s not something that’s ever…

I write this after 1 and a half vodka & oranges… I am worried. When I was a teen and a young 20 something I went out binge drinking fairly regularly. I had a fabulous time, but it was bad for my liver, and honestly, my mental health wasn’t so great…

This is a fairly long, personal post, very loosely based on The Prompt this week which is “confidence.” Whether it makes sense or not is beyond me, but I sat down to write and it all just came out. Confidence is something I don’t know a lot about, at…

You are so bang on. I struggle massively with my weight, thanks to meds and bingeing on rubbish food I'm now 4 sizes bigger than I was before I started my meds. I know they're not 100% to blame, but I wish I could come off them and see if I could drop this weight because I'm fast heading towards diabetes and everything else that comes with being overweight.

Introduction

I'm a tea drinking, chocolate munching, social networking writer.I'm battling various mental health issues, namely anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder and depression, and now write to bring attention to the reality of mental illness and help others through similar problems.

I'm a British expat, currently living in France and travelling to Spain for those chilly winter months.

In my spare time I'm a bit of a geek, enjoy reading and social networking. I have recently taken up photography and am really enjoying developing this new skill and takes my Canon EOS 1000D everywhere.

Very opinionated and strong willed and yet also old fashioned with a desire to go back to the 1950s, ultimately from life I want the white picket fence in the suburbs; the Disney fairytale.

“Mad Stewart and Rupert Bear have holidayed in various ‘pensions’ over the years and we find that their time spent holidaying with Stephanie at Les Creature Comforts the most agreeable. Her individual care was reflected when, while we were in the UK, she rang for reassurance that I was aware of the cyst on Stew’s back. Her empathy for the animals in her care is evident within 5 minutes of meeting her.”
