Introduction
My opinions do not represent the opinions of Google or past clients or employers.

Well howdy! Thanks for coming to my Google+.

My motto in life has always been "might as well live with no regrets and lots of style". My G+ is a reminder that regrets are about as valuable as a llama in the kitchen of a hostel in Southern Australia (true story). I've tested and confirmed this by doing things like moving to Austin on a whim, sneaking into the VIP tent at a huge techno party, backpacking around the world on a 15K budget for a year, starting my own social media and online consulting business, and the list goes on.

All of those experiences led me to where I am now, proudly working the Event Coordinator for Niantic Labs. You'll find me talking about funny musings, science, and travel/culture. If you'd like to be part of my communities, ping me and I've got your G+ back!

In my previous life, I helped build the STEM Google+ community of media partners, academics, teachers and enthusiasts. I've worked with partners as large as NASA and National Geographic and also helped build organic communities with CosmoQuest, ScienceSunday, STEM Women on Google+ and many more. One of the proudest programs I helped build was deSTEMber - an entire month of STEM educational activities, panels and mentorships all on Google+. STEM is cool and even cooler on Google+.

Get your Ingress on!

You'll catch me writing about maximizing your online style by writing more effectively, using Google+, and other Google+ musings. I'm here to help you and + your life. If you have Google+ questions, I've got answers. Like my colleague Sara Reid says, "we are introducing people to the + side of things".

Fun Facts About Me
  • Yes...my name is OG!
  • I am actually a robot. I have a metal plate for a collarbone and 6 screws holding it together.
  • There is a typo in my bio...can you find it?
  • I've officially converted to Texan. I say y'all and I can two step. (Although I still have the driving attitude of a Jersey girl).
  • I listen to techno, watch soccer, eat croissants and drink posh coffee. I guess I'm partially European too.
Bragging rights
Best napkin tie maker in the world. I style the onlines. Actually a robot. Nickname...Cuquis.

Hi guys, I know there's been a lot of buzz about the IFSK-100 for May. At this time, there has been no announcement of cities being chosen for May's First Saturday IFSK-100. All art assets are provided in the shared folder. Feel free to make wonders out of those! Stay tuned for other fun FS challenges that are around the corner.

Please let me clarify.   Some of the re-usables ( like T-shirts and arm bands), some had inquired whether those could also  be passed out as swag.

Ingress is designed to be a social game with real world interactions. Unfortunately, the same anonymous trolling and bullying that has become so prevalent in online gaming has followed many into the world of Ingress. I believe that events like First Saturday can help remove this aspect of the game and help us return to the friendly competition with good times and great friends. In most every public competition, the players and fans walk away with a hand shake, a pat on the back, some ribbing and trash talking, but end up grabbing a beer anyway.

Do yourself a favor, regardless if your area will have an IFS event or not... Take the time to meet several of Ingress players in your area regardless of faction. You'll be glad you did.

A very special thank you for working with your cross-faction counterparts to host the second series of #IngressFS. I looked at everyone's events and was amazed at how creative you guys are getting with your events. With your amazingness, #IngressFS happened in over 140+ cities last weekend. I know that some of you are already planning for next year. Can't wait to see those events.

We'd like to hear feedback from you! We've created a survey to gather feedback about the experience of running and attending an #IngressFS. Please feel free to share this with your attendees as well. http://goo.gl/NlHAQZ

Today in Geek History: In 1955, Doc Brown slips & hits his head on the bathroom sink. The idea of the Flux Capacitor is born!

Who was the original writer/author that came up with the idea for a "flux capacitor" though I wonder..

Banger's reminds me so much of the beer gardens that I loved in the Netherlands. Such good quality sausages. They are one of the few places with the amount of beers they have on tap. Plus the people that work there know their beers and sausages. I've always had a blast there. The music can be a bit loud at times, but it's manageable.

Top 5 taco places in Austin. No frills just tacos. They are so good you have to stop yourself from overeating.

Everything here is fabulous. The service is ok. That would be my only hesitation. The last time I went in for a work dinner it was as if we were doing the waiter a favor for coming into the restaurant. Despite the service, the food speaks for its self. My favorite day of the week is now Wednesday because of the half price oysters at Parkside.

Not a big fan of their coffee or food. The decor is nice and it's got a great balcony. Other than that, everything is overpriced. I can get the same quality of food at other establishments downtown and pay a little less with a better atmosphere.

I don't understand why everyone oozes over this restaurant. If anything, it's always crowded, too loud, the service is poor and the food doesn't make up for those shortcomings. I try to avoid going at all costs.

They take a simple dish, like a hamburger, and make it decadently delicious. Top grade beef, tuna and chicken. Fresh and local vegetables. Milkshakes that are addictive (Girlscout cookie thin mint milkshake...what!) Even the fries are made with sea salt, parsley (and maybe shallots?) Simple with a twist. It's more expensive than other burger places, but it's worth it. I would gladly pay premium for everything they have to offer.

I go to Jo's for one thing only...the most delicious and well made cappuccino in all of Austin. I love going to work outside, soak up the sun and sip on my coffee. Great people watching. You will likely be in line for a little while, but it's worth it.
