Chef life? I love it despite not working on the line at a restaurant anymore. 1994 was the date I put on the chef whites for the 1st time in Ireland. Did lots of travelling & working hard in between, cooked, ate and enjoyed life. I made many friends along the way and was lucky to have found my life partner Kim in doing so. Life goes on albeit at a different pace these days.....

Thomas Middleton, whose co-authored 1622 play “The Changeling” was the most compelling and timely show I saw at the Stratford Festival of Canada this summer, wrote about lusty sex, crude male power and raw female desire. He has been a target for the censor for nearly 400 years. http://trib.in/2v4ekhW

Our'little art library' is seeing a lot of traffic. Gallery Stratford hosted an auction recently and we just had to bid on the 'little jammin' library' given the musical background our son enjoys. Please feel free to drop by to take/donate a book. Stratford hosted the inaugural writers festival last October and we were lucky enough to host most of the authors. They kindly put their signatures to our wee library. We host again this year-you can find details of the October 20-22, 2017 festival at http://digiwriting.com/digiwriting.com/stratford-writers-festival/

Winter tales from our kitchen with much help and fun from our friends. We like to practice what we preach-slow food, fresh food, sustainably grown and gathered directly from our farmers and growers. Home cooked with passion, shared with abandon.

Another frigid day in Stratford has us longing for the long days of summer. Check out Soiled Reputation's website-we use their honey & vegetables in much of our cooking. Antony's art is beautiful as are his passionate talks. Remember to check in with Tina at the Sunday market without whom none of this is likely to happen! http://www.soiledreputation.com

A new tour that we are keeping an eye on is officially billed as The 1st annual Stratford Studio Tour. We know there is so much quality floating around town that this makes a lot of sense. At the moment they are calling for artist participants. No doubt you should check this site out in April for updates.
