Our love affair with club chairs Most of Old Plank’s inventory has been imported from France, though sometimes we stray beyond this romantic country and its luxe style. The club chair, as we know it, originated in England during the Victorian Era, though it gained popularity during the Deco period of the 20th Century—it makes sense that these chairs look like the kind that would be found at the nightclub in Casablanca. These chairs look cozy...

We have been importing and restoring European antiques and vintage furniture since 1992. In January 2011 we moved to our new location in a beautiful restored vintage building in Chicago with 31,000 square feet of space - a fitting backdrop for our spectacular inventory. We have a talented and gifted team of artisans working full-time in our on-site workshop; not only do we specialize in restoring vintage and antique furniture, we also make special order pieces for our clients. We make frequent trips to Europe, particularly France and England and regularly ship containers full of antiques and vintage furniture.

One of my Go-To sites for the discriminating client. A wonderful selection of European Antiques with the ability to custom re-design a piece to fit with the clients needs. A perfect place to locate sets of eight or ten Dining Chairs, and have them re-upholstered with a custom sized Dining Table to provide a stunning room that is truly unique! Worth the trip!!!
