Chiropractic Adjustments can "PUMP YOU UP" MRI Technology can finally demonstrate the diffusion of water within your discs after a single adjustment to the spine. A 2014 study visualized gas, water and nutrient transport and aided in the removal of metabolic waste products that were associated with pain. More of these kind of studies need to be published to educate people of the benefits of Chiropractic over time rather than opting for the quick fix of meds or surgery that lead to further degenerative conditions.

Sciatica is a term for pain along the sciatic nerve caused by a problem in the lower back. Disc problems, such as herniated discs and degenerative disc disease, can compress or irritate nerve roots in the lower back, and are common causes of sciatica. Pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness down the back of the leg and into the calf and feet are common symptoms of sciatica. Watch this animated video for a detailed description of the symptoms and causes of sciatica.

There are many sources of dysfunction in the upper back (thoracic spine), especially when we consider the numerous joints and the interlacing of muscles that comprise the thoracic spine and rib cage. If one muscle or joint is injured or inflamed, it can create a cascade of pain and dysfunction that can be difficult to treat.
