Amazing experience at the Old Monterey Inn. The hospitality was fantastic and the breakfast was great! The room is super cozy and even has a fireplace and a hot tub in it! If I ever come back to Monterey, I'm staying here!

My fiance and I did the Ultimate Luxury Getaway Package (dinner each evening at splendid restaurants, a couples massage, breakfast in bed, 5 hour wine tasting at 4 wineries in a limo, and much more) and stayed at the Library. I have to say, it was the most magical and perfect 3 night stay we had. We never have had such a lovely vacation like this one. The breakfast each morning was splendid, the garden was lovely, Monterey had beautiful sights, and staying at the Library was just perfect. Personally, I felt like a princess! Did not want to leave and we hope to return next year!

I recently took my girlfriend on a romantic getaway and stayed in Stoneleigh. The room was perfect and the property was amazing. We stayed there for three days and didn't want to leave. The breakfast was delicious and filling. We were also recommended some great restaurants that were very close by. Montrio Bistro was one of them and the food and drinks were delicious. We also went kayaking and whale watching, two things I recommend you try if you have an adventurous spirit. Overall this BnB is the nicest one I have ever been to and we definitely plan on coming back.

We spent a romantic weekend in Monterey at the Old Monterey Inn. We felt completely spoiled at OMI! Our room was incredible: huge feather bed, fireplace and 2-person jacuzzi tub. The staff brought us breakfast in bed every morning: usually a delectable baked item that was well beyond my expectations, as well as fresh OJ, coffee and fruit. Every afternoon we enjoyed a wine and cheese hour in the main house. Finally, they were expert at setting up excursions for us. They arranged a secluded beach bonfire for us one evening, complete with a beach blanket, s'mores, and roses. The next day they arranged a sea kayaking trip for us in Moss Landing, and made dinner reservations for us at 1833, a nice restaurant within walking distance. The staff was so friendly, responsive to our needs, and generous. I wouldn't change a thing about our stay!

Everything was perfect!! From the time we arrived we were treated as welcomed guests. They had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us. The cute little rooms are amazing including a fire place, feather bed, Jacuzzi tub, and flat screen tv. We had complete free range to go where ever we pleased. Breakfast was brought to us in bed every morning. It made our honeymoon absolutely perfect!!!

What a fantastic place. I had been here a few years ago with previous ownership and I love what they have done with the place. The gardens especially are more glorious than I could ever imagine. The breakfasts are delicious and if you can still be hungry when you step away from the table I would be impressed. A truly peaceful getaway, but right near everything in Monterey, which is one of my favorite towns in the country. Lawrence & Katy were some of the most hospitable innkeepers I have ever met. Don't miss out if you find yourself in Monterey Bay!

Old Monterey Inn is peaceful and perfect. Here you can sit in the gardens listening to the fountain while you savor a fresh-baked cookie each afternoon. The cookies are amazing and like none you've ever tasted! The beds are super comfortable. Our room, the Ashford Suite, had lovely windows all around that looked out on the garden and its own separate room with fireplace. It was romantic at night sitting there all cozy by the fireplace. In the morning we had breakfast in bed, and it was delicious! The fruit salad was the most memorable part for me- a perfect blend of fruits and a sprig of mint. It's a short walk to downtown Monterey, which has a hip main strip on Alvarado St and lovely little Spanish arcades.
