You should back this.
I've worked with +MonkeyBlood Design (Glynn Seal) more than once, and Glynn always made the extra effort. This is his own brain child so it will be shock full of that little extra.
Plus, frankly, I need the setting to incorporate in the game I'm prepping right now. So back it.

This Swedish kid's rpg has a lot of neat ideas, presumably because it has been developed over several years by a five years old (now older) and her dad.
It's in Swedish so probably won't interest too many of you so I wanted to highlight a great setting idea: the world has two poles, one being 100% magic and the other 0. Full magic is also more fairytale, no magic is more gritty. So the kids playing can adjust the nature of the game's content - also in "maturity" - by traveling towards or away from the poles

Ending today (some US time zone), you get 30% discount on your Lulu purchase with SAVENOW30. Might be a good time to pick up Across the White Marsh if you haven't already.

Anyone have firsthand experience of Blood & Bone? I tried to read about it, but I didn't find any information I can trust. Most was just "here's its best feature" and then some description that could fit any number of games.

Across the White Marsh is now available in print.

What is it? It is a 48 page hexcrawl for Blood & Bronze, set in a corrosive salt marsh where a caravan has gone missing. About 130 encounters spread over just under 100 hexagons, some new monsters/creatures, six new sorceries and a covenant to join, and plenty of room for both combat and intrigue.

As always, if you buy the PoD, you get the pdf free by contacting me (PM or email: olav dot nygard at bredband dot net)

I also took the opportunity to adjust the prices of our previous offerings, so you can get the rules for 10 bucks.

Me and +Joakim Andersson played the Dark Souls board game. We defeated!

The game was very well balanced: we had expended all resources and were a failed roll away from death. It was also very long (4 hrs) without feeling slow, at least for fanboys.

Still, the game was far from perfect. Standard encounters felt uninspired, and there was no sense of exploration. As a consequence, the tension of pushing forward and the threat of losing big was largely absent. There was also an issue with stamina management becoming less important once you got damage because your opinions became limited to die/don't instead of risky/safe. Since this only applies under certain circumstances, it wasn't too much of a bummer. The lack of exploration, however, was. Dark Souls is essentially about fighting and maps, with both things being well designed. The board game only did the first half.

So OK, but room for plenty of improvement (or house rules).
