Spring time is the hardest time on your Koi. After a long winter, their immunity is low, but as the water warms, parasites start getting very active. It's very upsetting to see your fish survive the harsh cold, just to succumb to secondary bacterial infections because of parasites and cold stress. If you don't have a good book on Koi health, then you might consider getting this one. It could quite possibly be a life saver.

We just got in a shipment of gorgeous concrete ornaments from Massarelli's in the USA. There are spitter's, statuary and garden art, various pricing and sizes. Come on in and have a look, there are only 2 of each, so don't leave it too long. These are sure to sell out quickly, they always do.

When was the last time you cleaned the Quartz sleeve on your UV? If it looks like either of the two dirty ones in these photos, you better get on it. Why is it important for the Quartz sleeve to be clear? If there is a film on the Quartz sleeve, then the UV can't penetrate it, and your water will be green. Some locations have very hard water, and you'll find a white film on your sleeve. We recommend cleaning it with vinegar (fish safe) and a NON abrasive scratch pad (with no chemicals) like what you'd use on a non-stick frypan (don't use the one from your kitchen, buy a new pad for pond use) Keeping your Quartz sleeve clean, will improve your water clarity. PS, be extra careful, Quartz sleeves break extremely easy, and can be somewhat expensive to replace.

This isn't exactly a new product, we've been using one for several years now, but some people aren't aware of it. So, let's change that. This mini skimmer is such an awesome product, an excellent idea and solution for people who have an established pond.

What's especially awesome, is the fact that its literally "plug & play" right out of the box, takes less than a minute to set up. Its 100% self contained, has its own motor and even add's aeration to the pond..what could be better?

This won't work for people who built their pond under a huge maple tree or giant pine tree, but it will 100% keep a reasonable area clean and clear of debris. This pond gets debris from some surrounding trees, so it does have to work hard.

Have a look at our YouTube video, check the unit out on our web site or come see it in action in our demonstration gardens. We love it, and we're sure you will too

Lalonde Pondless Waterfall, Kelowna Westside. There was originally a small plastic pre-formed pond and narrow waterfall. We took all that out, and changed it to a Pondless feature that was better suited to their busy lifestyle.

This is also on our web site, under "Koi Lady News" then click "portfolio"
