Today the great kids at +International School of Singapore in Phnom Penh, ages 4-9, are having a #daywithoutspeech! They are doing everything from drawing to writing to reading to playing all without speaking.

They are doing a great job! Even the 4 and 5 year old kids went 45 minutes without speaking.

Exciting news!

Several schoolkids and staff of +Campsie Public School in Sydney have taken up a Day Without Speech challenge. We were at the school yesterday and observed the activity.

It was fun! The kids have shown a lot of interest and raised questions about speech therapy, communication difficulties and Cambodia – which is unheard of for many of them.

This is the second time a school in Australia had taken up a Day Without Speech challenge. It's a great success! We're sharing more fun photos soon. Stay tuned.

It's #GivingTuesday. Today, we're giving a shout out to +Danielle Vellucci. She has been with us for 2 weeks, helping us train local teachers and community workers in inclusive education. She also donated some books and games to +Happy Kids Clinic.

This is amazing! We're so lucky to receive generous support from many individuals like you. If you would also like to support our work to establish speech therapy in Cambodia, email us at hello@oiccambodia.org

Yesterday was another successful day for OIC Cambodia. In a full packed room, we’ve trained several disability workers in different strategies to help them work better with kids with speech difficulties.

Next week, our staff +Nhip Socheat and +Soeun Pisey will be travelling some 250 kilometres to Pursat, a province in the western part of Cambodia that borders Thailand. They will be training more teachers and community workers there in inclusive education.

Socheat and Pisey are working so hard to increase the understanding of communication disability amongst the local population in Cambodia and help schools become more inclusive for students with speech difficulties.

Stay tuned next week for more updates from Socheat and Pisey and their trip to Pursat.
