We had a BLAST with Marnie! 2 of our group were beginners, and 1 was certified. Marnie was helpful, professional, patient, but most of all fun! Next time we come back, we'll specifically request that she be our instructor! Oh, and the shop has ADORABLE chammies that we each bought. They were out of one size that we needed, so the girl that does the orders (whose name I didn't get, but was VERY helpful and nice!) offered to not only order the one we needed and ship it to us, but even took my number down to update me, as it will take up to a month to get it. LOVED our experience here!

I went diving with Island Divers two days in a row. I want to give the three stars to all of the staff on the first day I went out. Mark and David were the dive instructors and they executed very thorough and educational dive briefing. Unfortunately the boat was over booked on Wednesday when my friend and I were out but thanks to the staff .We all were grouped properly and the dives went smoothly and felt perfectly executed. Great energy from the Captain and crew even though it was crowded the staff was still very positive clearly they enjoyed their jobs. On the same note, Max and Joe were also a need to have on the boat with their laughter and their hot pours for everyone on board. Brett was also a great asset to the team with his buddy Sam (his dog) and his extreme help getting everyone in and out of the water. Thanks for making Wednesday such a positive experience, Mark David, Max, Brett and Joe. Unfortunately our second day was not nearly as positive. Our Dive instructor, Davy was short and in fact rude. Talking to us as if we were children, and giving us a scattered hardly audible dive briefing. Maybe if the wind and the engine were not drowning it out but either way the briefing was disorganized and scattered. Once in the water she completely ignored us and started picking in the sand. Thankfully my buddy and I are advanced and can dive sufficiently on our own but we paid for a tour. Well I guess not everyone is as thorough and put together as Mark and David but there was a substantial difference in people aboard which should have in fact made it easier to monitor divers. Another major difference was the entire atmosphere on the boat, which should have been more energetic and less, I hate my life let’s hurry up and get this done attitude with less people. How miserable can your life be you work on a boat in Hawaii? Overall I still would have given 4 stars if it were not for having to wait nearly 2 hours to be brought back to town, the ad and the main man working the shop Jeff said we would be back in time to use the rest of our day the latest 1 pm. Understandably this did not happen day one but they told us all that before we left the dock that we would be running until at least one because we had so many people. Once we were back on Wednesday we got our logs filled out as the crew cleaned up the boat and then we were shuttled back to town within 30 minutes of being back at the dock. This did not happen Thursday I was told to go get lunch and come back in an hour because the guy doing the drop offs was on the other boat. Trying to be easy going I did not complain until an hour and thirty minutes went by and the other boat was still not back. I think that there would have been plenty of time for me to get a ride back to Waikiki in the van I was picked up in with plenty of time to have it back for the other boat if they were going to take another 2 hours. Instead of bringing me back as soon as we got in I waited around for the other boat to come in, unprofessional and put a bad taste in my mouth being treated like an inconvenience. This ensured that I will not returning without special requesting anyone but Davy. I do not like to end on a negative note so I will say that having minty hot towels to end both days of diving is a great touch to wiping the salt off your face. And again big thanks to Mark and David and the rest on Wednesday for making my first day so much fun like a Hawaiian vacation should be.

Fantastic first dive. It was hard to decide who to use for our first scuba adventure. We wanted safe, inexpensive, and helpful instructors. We booked with Hawaiian Water Sports but it was Island Divers who took us out (apparently they share services). We had an absolute blast!!! The instruction was helpful and the dive was fun. We saw some marine life including a couple of turtles and an eel. Have no fear using them!

We signed up to do a wreck dive, but the calm conditions allowed us to go to visit some rarer sites. The dives included cool swim-thrus, a white tip shark, a monk seal and a lot of other wildlife. Amy, our trip leader and a dive instructor, was awesome, as was the rest of the crew on the Sea Fox. I definitely recommend Island Divers for a safe, fun, and unique dive experience.

I give it 1 star because you can't go lower. I can't rate the diving but I can rate the management. Kendal Vercoe their operations manager is rude, nasty and condescending. He violates civil rights laws during his hiring process and brags about how he doesn't care openly. He hires based on age, race and gender and wants to know "what you look like" before he'll interview you. If you don't send a photo he'll tell you the position has been filled when it has not. A clear civil rights violation. Anyone considering diving with this outfit should think twice about supporting this dive shop.

I did a 3 day dive package with Island Divers. I have only my Open Water rating and it's been 5 years since my last dive. They recommended I go out on "the dive barge" with the other less experienced divers, they paired me with an instructor and I had a great time on two shallow dives. The instructor said I did great and recommended I join the Sea Fox for more advanced dives the next two days. The entire boat crew, shop staff, dive masters and instructors were awesome every day. I'll be diving with Island Divers next time I come back to Oahu.

I completed my open water course with IDH back in 2008. Since then I have stayed with them to complete my AOW, Rescue, DM, and technical training. It is truly a professional operation that does their best to make every customer feel like family. In the past six years I have completed over a thousand dives and have dove with many operations around the world, IDH is one of the best. They are the only company I dive with on Oahu and the only ones I'll send my friends/family to for instruction. Thanks IDH, for first showing me the underwater world and keeping me coming back for more!

Going to make this short and sweet. The staff here are wonderful! They are serious when they need to be but also know that diving is supposed to be fun. We went on two great dives with Larry Hogan as our dive master. He was always quick to point out of the creatures that can be found in the waters off Hawaii and to know what to look for on each dive. Will definitely be going back next time I take a trip to the islands!
