The parking is a bit of a walk from the hotel and also expensive considering the inconvenience of the location. Information from the front desk was not great, I was advised that room service could be paid in the room by credit card, when we ordered we had to go to downstairs to reception to pay. Half of the room service was very cold, the "hot filled ciabatta" was like it came straight out of the fridge. We also had an issue with the lights in the room, when we went in first they only stayed on for 15-20 secs and we had to keep taking the card out and putting it back in the slot, when we came back to the room later they did not work at all, the desk sent someone up to fix it. During the night there was a constant mechanical hum in the room that went off and on every now and again, I could also hear the sound of Garda/Ambulance sirens directly outside at one point in the early hours and regular traffic so the room was quite loud. All in all, not issues I would have expected from a 4**** hotel.

I spent a week at this hotel, on a business trip to Dublin, about a month ago. The reviews on Google are pretty thin, so I wanted to provide a more substantial review. This is not a luxury hotel - it's a no-nonsense midrange hotel. But for the class of service they are providing, I found it to be very good, and an enjoyable six night stay with no problems encountered. The front desk staff were very nice and very helpful (they were more than willing to accommodate my request for a room with a view, given the length of my stay). The room itself (room 1600, top floor, with lovely sweeping views of St Stephen's green and the city) was spacious and filled with light from floor to ceiling windows. Not sure if the other rooms are the same. The breakfast area was very good, and I love the high atrium with glass windows - a great way to bring in some natural light when waking up groggy for breakfast. The location is excellent - right on the Green, and a very short convenient walk to the heart of the shopping and nighlife areas and to Temple Bar, Trinity College, etc. My only complaint is the ironing board in the room. It was terrible. I almost considered giving the hotel a bad review solely on the basis of the ironing equipment in the room (built into the wall). I challenge ANYONE to iron a week's worth of business attire and complete the process in anything other than a bad mood. But once I got over the ironing board experience, this is really a nice hotel. The staff really do work to make yours an enjoyable stay, and there is no question they care about their customer's experience and opinion, and try to improve (the manager contacted me, and asked how my stay was. I don't get that service at luxury hotels!!). I will return (but may purchase and expense my own ironing board :-) ) - as either a tourist or for a future work visit.

Checked in yesterday. Room is clean and the bathroom appears to have been refurbished. Appears to be two buildings joined together, need to navigate two different elevators to get to our room. Checking in was a breeze and the baby cot was waiting for us in our room. A few negatives. Doesn't have a bar fridge, which is a first for me in a hotel. Also appears to be near a few night spots with noise from the street carrying up to the 4th floor at around 1-2am which woke and scared our 15month old.
