The Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance, Cambridge Judge Business School has published a new study entitled "Distributed Ledger Technology Systems: A Conceptual Framework".

The 109-page report approaches 'blockchain' and distributed ledger technology (DLT) using a systems perspective. The report's definitions and framework are designed to serve as a multi-dimensional tool for policymakers, industry participants, researchers and investors to gain a better understanding of a DLT system's components, the way they interact with each other, the roles that various actors play in the system, and the system properties and characteristics resulting from specific design choices.

This project would not have been possible without a broad and diverse contributor base. It has been a true privilege to collaborate with a fantastic group of academics and industry experts: Andrew Glidden, Brian Gordon, Prof. Gina Pieters, Martino Recanatini, François Rostand, Kathryn Vagneur, Bryan Zhang, Oliver Beige, Jill Carlson, Nic Carter, Michèle Finck, Larry Sukernik and Angela Walch. Thank you!

We look forward to comments, feedback, and constructive criticism :-)
