nytimes at its best! what an beautiful story....
Each year around 50,000 people die in New York, some alone and unseen. Yet death even in such forlorn form can cause a surprising amount of activity. Sometimes, along the way, a life’s secrets are revealed.

Would love to see adblock based on chromium. Does this mean its feasible now?

The chromium team has just landed the majority of the remaining Chrome for Android code (over 100K lines of code) into the open-source Chromium repository: Chrome for Android is now almost entirely open-source

External Developers can now build a full-fledged Chromium browser by building the brand new chrome_public_apk target.

exactly why i left facebook

"It destroys the present moment, leaving us only with the metadata of experience; ultimately meaningless traces of what we now think looks like real experience. It does this by locking us in a room with ourselves, our self-consciousness, and throwing away the key."
Facebook is dead. I killed it. You'll find its remains somewhere on the eastern shore of Maryland, in the forest beside a creek. I'll never hear its notifications again, at least not over the...

fascinating weekend read - watch out for creepy korla pandit music at the end.
At the time, ideas of race in America were quite literally black and white. But a few meters of cloth changed the way some people of color were treated.

Just got the nexus player but I can't figure out how to get the TV channels on it.

Is there no way to connect it to the current settop box so I can get all the cable channels. I assumed one would be able to do that with an android*TV* device (besides apps and games)...

Is anyone else seeing a noticeable lag when the recents button is pressed? Sometimes it takes a few seconds to display the recents and then another few to load the actual app. Needless to say its driving me crazy.

I had a similar lag on home button which has a well known fix of disabling S-voice (so it doesn't have to listen for double tap action)

I am coming from a nexus 5 which is buttery smooth and I expected Note 4 which is one of the most speced out phone to be the same but I am rather disappointed...

I've noticed lag on pictures gallery especially when opening in 'Time' album. And a slight lag on  Recents too. Mmmm :-(
